Moving is one of my least favorite things to do. It's one of the reasons why we stay in the same place.

I guess until you get back into a garage, you will be a "shade tree mechanic".

The will to act.

The worst part about it is that I have to do it all over AGAIN when the place we were SUPPOSED to move to is empty....tennants still there supposed to have left 7/1. Great.

I'm gonna have to figure something out cause the place we're moving to next also has no garage. maybe some kind of huge shed enclosure eventually. wouldn't want to set one of those car ports on fire with sparks from welding or something!

"shade tree mechanic" haha....gonna have to try that one day....thank God for Flux Core!

Just another newbie here checking it out I love the idea of all the peeps here sharing ideas and trying to help each other to build their dream cars. I always loved the bat mobiles since watching the tv series on through the movies. How do I get the restrictions lifted to view the whole site?

So as often as I post is as often as I have time to work on this :-( In any case the weather is getting better so with no garage or car port yet, I'm starting to take advantage of nice weekends...

So over the winter, through Sandy and a blizzard or 2, my drum brakes rusted and the Honda GX390 won't crank for shite. So since it was pretty underpowered and too weak to push my build I'm going to try a motorcycle engine. But first to deal with the Bane of my project: steering. my last attempt (discussed a few posts ago) was good enough for a much lighter "go-kart".

the new u-joints worked but the support for the rods had no flex, so when the front end bounced, steering was....not working. too much pressure on the rods against the supports made it very tough/impossible to turn. I broke the rod ends on the R&P units!.

So today I got these uniball bearings. I'm going to weld them on to plates and use them for the rods. I think that will solve that problem....now just got to do it. See you in a month or 2!
