So I want to make a few custom accessories for my motorcycle - and later I will use similar techniques to make pieces for my Batmobile. I want to make custom "S" pieces that will at least look like chrome.

Any ideas how to go about doing this? Can I sculpt something out of sculpy clay, then have it dipped after it is baked? Or how about fiberglass and foam with some sort of "Chrome" paint? Any suggestiones would be appreciated!

I would do like the guys at LOH and use the S from a childs Superman costume.  Or the S from the Superman Returns SuperSoaker.  You can get it at for Wal-mart.  Then mold it and pull one out of fiberglass.  the use the mir-chrome from ALSA.   You could probably paint the plastic emblem if you didn't want to mold it.

Mir-Chrome, huh? A google search only yields a Mir-Chrome XBOX cover....

Thanks guys! I think I'll order some of this stuff next week. EXACTLY what I was looking for! Think it'll work on fiberglass?

Kevin - I got your message this morning. I was still asleep. I am printing in my shop today, so I will give you a call later when I am out of here.

I don't mind paying for it, since I will probably use it again.
