GROSS!
That's that 60's batthing from the comics! Brrrrr.
(shudders).
This comic book car design was all but forgotten, until the WB figured out there was
$$$$$ in the 66 version they didn't own the rights to, so sold
this design to Corgi. The funny thing is that this design was created because Barris and the TV show got bent when the comics started making the batmobile look like the TV show car, so the comics changed it enough to make it a new design. Now we want toy versions of the TV car and we get that thing. It's like someone who looks like someone famous, until you get close... then yikes!

It was the Danbury mint debacle with Andy P.s car that showed the WB/DC that we were willing to pay big bucks that started all of the new Corgi line of batmobile collectibles, based on Comic book designs that the WB owned 100%.
Sigh, you guys have your 1:18 scale toys.... we're still waiting....
