Anyone have good big screen shots of the machine guns? It's such a quick scene! From one small photo on the photo page, the ammo on the left fender is on the outside belt fed, so shells would be shooting at the canopy when they are discharged? Design wise there ought to be a left handed one on that side, so shells shoot away from the car on either side. Otherwise you have casings flying all over your car, and the car next to you!
Just getting something going on a topic not talked COMPETELY to death. You guys with cars, I remember a few drawings and shots of hydraulics, anyone have guns mounted?
And how about doing them like the mattel car, spin them around?
Shooting the gun doors into the street is just wasteful. I think two nice arches of shells shooting out both sides in matching arcs would be so COOL!
( even though batman doesn't use guns....)

If you'll notice, one of the few inaccuracies of the 1:18 car are the gun doors. They were made wider to accommodate those rotating guns.

I believe they are Browning Machine Guns, so any image reference of those guns should be good enough to create a believeable replica. Webmaster, which model kit is that? The fins look a little inaccurate, but overall the detail and craftmanship of the model and scene (right down to the spent shell casings and the skidmarks) is really impressive!

That's what I am saying! The shells from the driver side gun would be bouncing off of the windows, they need to go away from the car. If Bruce can afford to shoot off half of his car all over the place, he could have a left handed machine gun made!
"Alfred, could you get those body parts please?"

Forget the windows.
If one of those shells get lodged in that center track for canopy, Batman can't get out.

He could just punch a hole through the bottom of the car and climb out.

I don't think the shells bouncing off the windows would be that big of a deal to Batman. The car is bullet-proof afterall (at least in his universe), so hot brass wouldn't be more than a minor annoyance.
