Fiberglast has some good info online, but other than that I really haven't found anything that really deals with the basics of using fiberglass at home in your garage. Most of the books seem to deal with high-end applications and even then they don't really go into the process step-by-step. Some of the best info seems to come from the various build logs out there.

I think the thing to remember is that when ever you got a "hand made" thing, the results are always dependant on the individual doing it. i.e. I could try my hand at bangin out a fiberglass piece, have some problems, but Tim could come along and knock out a part out of the same mold that looks perfect, even though we both watched the same darn video. Moral of the story is that when the human hands are involved books will only take you so far. Every mold is different, every mold has its own set of obstacles.

Yeah, like that's going to happen...
Seriously though, I understand what he means. What you're talking about is more about mastering a technique or perfecting a process. However, it's hard to find any type of simple instruction on the very basics of using fiberglass. I suppose I could write up something about what I know and maybe I will. Something for the guy that doesn't even know what materials or tools he needs or where to even get them. Of course it would be totally different from what you do, since you don't even use polyester resin, but at least it would get him started.
