My sisters SUV is a lot longer and wider than my Batmobile, I don’t see any problem getting in and out of any fast food establishments. My Police Forensics vehicle is 27’ long 10’ wide, 8' tall and I take it everywhere with no problems.

Yeah, sizewise I don't think it's a problem. Remember Jacks figures on the Dodge Ram...

U guys R ok. Everything in America is bigger than anywhere else. Here in Ireland it's not so. They propose a building to the planning office on one of those small model things and then build the thing to the same scale. Our country may be smaller but for shite sake give us bigger stuff. Bigger roads, Bigger drive thru's. Dammit I'll be lucky if i can get it out of the garage.

DE 66 IS COMING........

Believe and succeed

I think it'd be weird to go to a drive through without a batman costume though. They'd be all excited to see it pull up and then if they see you without costume they'd be really disappointed.

You'd pull up and they'd be like "Awesome, Batman is here..(open canopy) oh.. you're not Batman."

SG1,

It's not the width of the lane, but the turning radius of most drive-thrus. The car turns very wide, like a dually or your EMS vehicle. But the dually has the luxury of clearing most obstructions right up to the moment that the tires come in contact with the curb.

The front bumperettes on the batmobile don't allow you to bring your wheels in close to the curb and then turn. You have to steer clear well in advance of a curb or loose a bumperette. (I always keep an extra painted set in the trunk as do most all of my customers. Would be silly and embarrasing to drive down the road with a damaged batmobile.)

Plus, the side intakes are wider than the rear tires and almost as low. So you can't jump a curb with the rear tires like you can with most big rigs.

Therefore... you miscalculate your turn, and you're politely asking everyone in the drive-thru lane to back up so you can get out.

At that point, it's your only option.

All that for a burger? Better to take the General Lee!
