Very nice! Looks like someone put alot of effort into cleaning up those mold lines! There are still some left, but good job so far!!! I love it. Have you begun to mount your windscreen yet?

This car was based on the 2004 Hotwheels 1/18 scale.
I got permission from Warner Brothers and Mattel Hotwheels to recrate this wonderful car after I had clay'ed out the 1:1 scale replica using the CAD and reached an agreement.

This car will be on display In the year 2006 in many car shows and few Toy stores around the U.S.
The car will have voice comand as well as few extra surprise gadgets.

This car will also make cameo in an upcoming commercial for unmentionable company.

I will keep you guys posted.
The pics I posted up there with the help of Webmaster were taken 6 months ago.

Did you make all your mold lines in the same places as the original molds on purpose? Was that just the convenient way to do it?

Pretty Impressive!!

Are you related to the Swede?
One thing I don't recognize...what's with that off center line going down the center of the trunk...
is that a minor detail I may have missed somewhere in my observation of 89's in general?
Nice to see you have cobra caps!

As you know the trunk area is one of the hardest area to accuratly recreate.
I gave myself and my team creative license and they added a center fin in the trunk area.
It looked really awesome on paper and on CAD but when we finally got ready to mold, we decided it just didn't work.

I may have picture of it somewhere I 'll try to scan it later. A lot of the original files were destroyed/lost last year through virus though.

And DonC. Yes, we did contact the Leif Garvin of Swedish batmobile fame. His was based on AMT model and ours is based on the Hot Wheels model. And PM me if you have any other questions DonC!
