DO YOU OWN A REPLICA BAT-VEHICLE? Not yet, but soon.

A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF YOUR PAST OR PRESENT INVOLVEMENT IN THIS INDUSTRY (if willing to share):
Once upon a time I used to do film stunts. This was early 99~01. Unfortunately, there weren't a lot of jobs available for minorities in film so most of the time I was left unemployed in the film industry.

OCCUPATION: I do research and supervise a library now.

Hey Tobias, Welcome. I think your experience in the library might help. The first stage in building a vehicle is research. You have to figure out what kinda chassis, motor, transmission, body mounting system. Lots of different ways to go on the build. Sometimes guys get started too quickly and don't build their projects on paper first . They end up making a lot of changes in midstream or have to redo major parts, which can cost you money. I speak from experience. Use your skills to compile all this information, start your build on paper and organize your tasks. If you need any help feel free to ask. Theres a lot of knowledgable guys on this board willing to help. Good luck and Welcome....BWD

I am a newbie. Just registered 2 days ago.

I wanted to make my 3 year old son a batman (TDK) costume for this halloween. First year was Superman, 2nd year was Captain America. Then I thought about making him a batmobile as well to go along with his costume. Here are some pics from previous years. I made everything from scratch.

Everyone's always throwing me under the bus! AWESOME work on the Captain America Suit, my son would be so jealous if he ever saw those pictures.

Hello! My name is Brandon, I'm 25 and from Oklahoma. I've been a Batman fan since I first saw the keaton films. My favorite memory as a kid was seeing a replica keaton car at a car show here in OKC. Coolest...Car...Ever. I work in a custom car shop on the side and I'm planning on building a replica Tumbler here pretty soon. Right now I'm SLOWLY understanding the engineering and mechanics that went into building it. This site is amazing in the amount of knoweledge and history that is here, and I'm really looking forward to contributing and meeting new people.

Hey another new guy here. My names Madison. I'm 30, and been involved in the prop and costume thing for a while. I'm piecing together a Dark Knight suit currently, waiting on the work of talented builders. I joined up because I am seriously thinking about building a Batpod. Going to be getting into the research to see if I really want to do it and (mainly) if I can afford it. I really have no car building experience, but have a friend with full access to a machine shop, and my brother is an ex-mechanic. I think we would be capable. Here's my Begins suit from years ago. The rubber parts are Mr. Dullam's.
