I recall someone mentioning various aircraft parts were used for the side intakes. Do we know what they are?
Isn't this signal obvious now who it's for?

I've not seen any info about the side intakes. There has been info on the mechanics, but even that has been limited to guesses, ie the main part is a Helicopter heat exchanger (maybe).
Sadly even the replica kits do not come with the side intakes. I'm sure someone will eventually add them to the kit package but for now it is up to the builder to make their own. I made mine by making a foam plug that I covered in Bondo. I sanded the plug until I was happy with its shape. I then covered it in aluminum foil and laid up 4 layers of 1.5 oz fiberglass mat. Once the fiberglass cured I was able to pull the fiberglass intake off of the plug. I still need to fiberglass the intake to the car but I am pretty happy with the results.

Thanks again for coming through with such quick and insightful knowledge.
Don't worry I won't use the image on you.

I think Wayne was referring to these and not the intake.

Oops.
Sorry Jack.
I was referring to those odd pipes and that oval thing where the hook is fired.
And that post up there wasn't mine www.thebatcave8k.com.
I've asked the admin to delete that post.
Thanks and sorry for confusion everyone
