I just got the Modern Motor 1989 that features the batmobile.
Was this a joke article or something?
How come there is no mention of Anton Furst or anyone?
Also the two that claim to designing the car uses a fish to do it?

Any insight on this?

It's all true. Anton Furst is an imaginary character created to add mystique to the car. WB had that issue pulled of of all the shelves and that is also why no WB films are available on DVD in Australia.

I don’t know where you get your information from? Here is a link to some of his work.

http://minadream.com/timburton/AntonsBio.htm

Anton Furst’s name is on the Patent; fake people don’t hold patents. Anton was in charge of Production Design; he had a vision of how he wanted the car to look. John Evans and his crew actually built the car. Here is a link to the article that you are talking about.

look under Burton then Info there is an article “How We Made the Car” click on this.
Most of the article is accurate; some sounds as if they were smoking the mullet.

Anton Furst is an anagram for "Trust No Fan". The Australian guys were very skidish about being known as the creators of the Batmobile. Many celebs in Australia are victoms of stalking, much worse than here in the States. So they created the ficticious character "Anton Furst" The Pictures you've seen are of an actor named Gary Sommers.

Jimmy, who the hell are you?
How do you know all this pointless stuff? Good pointless stuff though.
Oh, and about that patent -Anyone can apply for a patent, all you need is a name and date of birth. So I don't doubt that part.
