It looks like a piece of crap in the pictures, the roof is caved in and the interior is horrible. It looks like my 1/18th scale which I beat with a hammer, ripped the wheels off and then took a shit in. But maybe it's just the lighting...

Auction ended early.
I'd bet someone offered to buy at reserve price and owner ended the auction since he won't have to pay the ebay fee in doing so.

Does anyone know who and for what price the deal went?

The reserve for the car was 40 grand, it never got close.
Eric received lots of threatening emails over this car and a C&D letter, he feels that may have been bogus. He didn't want to take the chance and pulled the auction a day early.

Didn't body kits just go for around 10k?
And assuming another 10k for 1984 Chevy and 10k profit, where is the other 10k for?

The one Copperfield bought wasn't the original.
It was a replica.
I think he sued after finding out it was a replica.

I heard Copperfield backed out of the deal (rightfully) after finding out it was a replica and not an original screen car.

Who was the seller by the way?
Was it Barris passing replica as genuine again?

Don't be naive. Barris has claimed the '89 as his before. It is well known he will certify your dog if it makes him a buck.
