DOJ Batmobile, from scratch. Body molds milled by homemade CNC machine. Fiberglass body panels pulled from molds. Using a corvette for the donor car.

Out of curiosity, can a mid to late 70's corvette be used for an 89? It's got the cab/firewall located towards the back. Wondering if it is easier to use a Vette or go with an impala or caprice?

Lots of people swear by the Caprice and Impala being an easier vehicle to go with, personally I wasnt a big fan of going with the caprice but I only did so because we have a community of builders here who used the same donor so its endless support for all of us. I dont regret it…

But I will be going with a different engine

C3 corvettes were usually the more expensive option and the frame is smaller.

You didnt get the LT1 engine in your caprice?
