I thought I had every version (Ertl/Hasbro) of this car till last week. I just got this in the mail today, and it is the same exact car as the Hasbro/Ertl 1:64 . This one is labeled as a Hasbro underneath. The thing is I have never seen this car in this old Onstar box. I do however remember Onstar using the Batmobile in a series of commercials years ago. Does anyone know of a car show or promotion General Motors might have done, or was it maybe some sort of giveaway? I'm straightening the box up now but here are some pics...

So I have done some digging online today and I just found out about an old contest Onstar did around 2001. These are the rules and prizes.
Onstar, the official service of the Batmobile, has announced a contest focusing on the Caped Crusader. Onstar is giving fans a chance to win a walk-on role in the next Batman feature! There are two ways to enter the Batman/OnStar sweepstakes:
1) During the Sweepstakes Period, complete the online sweepstakes entry form at www.onstar.com and submit as directed prior to 11:59 pm PT on 2/28/02.
2) Mail a 3"x5" paper on which you have hand printed your name, address, daytime phone, the words OnStar Batman Adventure to: OnStar Batman Adventure Sweepstakes, PO Box 508, Byron, MI 48418. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by 2/28/02 and received by 3/5/02
The prizes are:
Grand Prize: Walk-on Part in the Next Batman Movie
First Prize: One of 36 OnStar-Equipped Vehicles
Second Prizes: Limited-Edition Batman Batarang
Third Prizes: Limited-Edition Mini Batmobile <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Bingo! Check out the top of my cars box.

Just a quick note. I contacted Onstar on Facebook and they told me that 500 of these were made for this contest. So I'm pretty happy with the score.
