Hey Everyone,
I am new to the forum and had a question about an upcoming project that I am involved with.
My cousin Rob bought a work in progress Batmobile mainly it needs body/paint and interior.
Our biggest concern is making the car street legal which I have seen a handful of replicas "claim" to be. However I don't see anyone addressing the requirements on Saftey Glass for the canopy .
Has anyone out there gone this far for safety reasons? And if so where did you get the glass ?

| I've looked into this a little. It seems that the rules vary depending on which state you register your car in. In my state, if it is registered as the donor car then you don't have to worry but if you register it as a custom car it has to be inspected and have a whole list of requirements, including safety glass. So for example, here I would just register it as a 94 Caprice and it would be fine.

When I looked into this back in the day, there was a Local windscreen replacement company specifically for custom cars. All you needed was a 'pattern' and they would make you one up to your specifications. Most importantly this was fully street legal 
Sorry should have said this was in the UK.
