Replicas

Are you complete screwed if you get into an accident with your replica? Reading from previous posts it seems most of you guys spent around 10k to get the mold. If heaven forbid you get into an major non life threatening accident, can you salvage the body or do you have to start over from scratch?

RE: Replicas

Hopefully you are insured! Some insurance companies give you what is called an "Agreed Upon Value" coverage plan. Others will insure it based on previous sales prices (At Kruze auctions, for instance) with a MUCH higher premium. In California (I do not know about other states) we have a law which enables like 500 cars per year to be insured and registered as "Rebodies" of their base car. For instance, if you build your car on a Caprice Classic, you can insure it as a Caprice Classic for the value of the original Caprice (before Bat mods). However, you have to be one of the first 500 each year to do this.

RE: Replicas

Are you insured? YES, OF COURSE. By Survival? WELL, NO... I can't take that bet.
