Gullwings on a 89.....your thoughts?

Now wouldn't that solve a few problems....

Eliminate that whole fussy sliding canopy scenario...
Make the car way ezier to get in and out of...
Be much ezier to build a waterproof seal throughout...
Keep from scratchin' the paint.....
If you did it right door edges probably wouldn't even be noticable
and to top it I think it'd be....

WAY COOL!!!

what do u think Master Jack??
lol...see sometimes I say more than a few words...

RE: Gullwings on a 89.....your thoughts?

There is a fan car in IL that has gullwings, similar to a LaMans car

RE: Gullwings on a 89.....your thoughts?

What are your thoughts on the Gullwings?

And what gadgets are are you installing on your car?
I understand from previous post that you are putting in the machine guns.
Any other ones?
Side Fin
Grappling Hook
Batdiscs

I remember sg1star mentioning what he's putting but I don't remember you mentioning your replica back then?

RE: Gullwings on a 89.....your thoughts?

The above question obviously was directed at Jack.

RE: Gullwings on a 89.....your thoughts?

Jack is planning to keep his as close to original as possible with a few exceptions... He will have the machine guns as mentioned, but they will be on a 4-sided rotating table. One side will have the covers, one will have the guns, one will have missles, and the last will have a mini shuffleboard game. The nose cone cover will be removable to expose a frozen margarita mixer/tap. The trunk will open to expose a tiny man that will had you a banana when you are hungry (On Tuesday he will have kiwi!) The side intakes will actually be outdoor speaker/PA system that will play Disco Fever, Jacks favorite, with the touch of a button. There's lots more, but I will leave that for Jack. Make sure he tells you about the lava lamps...

You had me until you mentioned the margarita.

RE: Gullwings on a 89.....your thoughts?

Hee hee Thanks Tim. You forgot to mention that I will be adding miles of neon lights, just to give it that classic Schumacher look.

RE: Gullwings on a 89.....your thoughts?

Are you kidding? The margarita mixer/dispenser is definitely going in...

Sweet. Pimp my Ride.

RE: Gullwings on a 89.....your thoughts?

Baneful, I guess the real answer is no. I really haven't planned anything other then the guns. If i could make the canopy, hood, trunk, side doors, and guns all move by remote control that would be plenty for me. But then again I'm always saying I want Rockets.

RE: Gullwings on a 89.....LOL

That Tim's a funny guy!!!

Tim I of course would dig a disco machine like Jack's
'cept mine would have to be all white.
I'd have no problem attracting chicks 'cause I'd rename myself maurice
and i'd have that big phallus object up front, the bat mask would help too by keepin' my hair piece from flyin' off.

RE: Gullwings on a 89.....your thoughts?

Hey DonC.

Who are you?
Do you own a replica, too?

Just asking b/c seems like other people know you already.

I"m just a lurker with a lot of questions not issues.

 From: Tim | Posted: 4/12/2005 2:08:59 AM |

RE: Gullwings on a 89.....your thoughts?

I can see it now, an all white '89 with gold trim and tan interior, a disco ball hangin' in the windshield. A white polyester batsuit with patent leather cowl, gloves and boots and a big gold batemblem hanging from a chain over an exposed hairy chest. "Boogie Fever" blairing.

Wow, I just figured out what my next build is going to be!
