Anyone know where I can find batmobiles?

Hi,
I'm trying to build a replica myself and I'm based in California.
I got the blueprints and measurements I need from this site and various other sources.
All I need now is to look at the car in person.

Can anyone tell me where I can go to take a closer look at the batmobile?

Thanks in advance.

hi mate, if u build a replicar and pass it off as a batmobile warner bros will come down hard, ie, imagine u run over a schoolkid in a batmobile.................

RE: Anyone know where I can find batmobiles?

Replica Keaton Cars are a very delicate area. Warner Bros holds Copyright and Patent on the visual appearance of the Keaton Car and all Batmobiles. The car itself is too wide for normal street use anyway, and besides would you want someone else messin with your ride.... hey guys... wanna steal a Batmobile.... Like Many Barris replicas the trick is in the name.... you let other people call it the Batmobile, but you visually mark it as something else. Mine was gonna be Project Anton's THE BLACKKNIGHT.

Wouldn't it be awesome if someone built something like this in real life?

From anonymous source:

"Anything your skills will allow. Most use the Caprice, but several have used an 80's vette. Two have used full size TRUCKS."

RE: Anyone know where I can find batmobiles?

TBuilder, what method are you using to build your Batmobiles? Do you plan on using a foam fiberglass sandwich method, or a mold? Also, how much automotive building experience do you have? I am trying to build a Keaton car myself, and I think I have everything I need. I know a guy who actually builds them to sell, which will get much easier after this November, but the price is too high for me. $64k for the completed vehicle, fully driveable and functional. (Not a bad price, but he requires $30k down, which I do not have)

RE: Anyone know where I can find batmobiles?

Well, I am not really an expert on car building.
I was just going to commission some people to do the replica.
So far the money and the resource have been tight and I couldn't get it started yet.

RE: Anyone know where I can find batmobiles?

TBuilder - I do not know if this will help, but go to my site. www.thebatcave.8k.com . Click on the 1989 Batmobile link. Halfway down the page their is a link to a site which explains how to use the Fiberglass sandwich method to build unique and functional auto bodies. All the supplies for a full sized car cost on average about $900-$1000. My estimates for the Batmobile put me around $1300-$1500 tops. Slap it on a donor vehicle, hire someone to do the finish work and the wiring, and save a ton of money. You said you were based in Southern California, right? So am I. Maybe we can meet and swap notes sometime?
