I thought he was great as "Bateman" in American Psycho.

RE: Superman Returns Trailer
Please people...
We all know Nic Cage would have nailed the part in the now scrapped Burton's Death of Superman movie.

RE: Superman Returns Trailer
It's hard to picture Cage as Superman, but he's such a big fan, you know he would do his best to get it right.
Did you hear what he named his new baby boy?

RE: Superman Returns Trailer
You know, the trialer really isn't very interesting. The original trailer for Batman really grabbed you and made you want to go see the movie. It didn;t give away too much, but it still made you interested. This one doesn;t give away too much, but doesn;t really grab you as much...

RE: Superman Returns Trailer
The trailer looks terrific. I really like the way how they gave it the Jor-El (God the Father) Kal-El (God the Son) kind of take on it. The scene of Supes rising up above the clouds with the sun blazing behind him is always how I pictured the ascension of the Christ in my mind's eye. The whole Judeo-Christian Messianic theme behind the Superman mythos is what I think gives it such an appeal. I think it is no coincidence that the suffix of Jor-El and Kal-El's names is the same word in Hebrew for God (El). I haven't done much research on this, but I do know that both Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster were both Jewish, so one would suppose that there was some influence there in the creation of their character.
Hmmm... I just went and did a quick Google search and this is what I came up with:

Pretty interesting stuff.
BTW, I liked the trailer, UNTIL it got to th point of showing Brandon in the close-up just prior to him flying down back to Earth. (The second coming?) I still think the new kid is way too skinny and the costume is just not right. The neckline is waaaay too high and the logo waaay to small. I won't even get into the colors. Also, why is his hair brown and not black? UGH! Well, we'll wait and see...
Chris Reeve will always be the ultimate Superman to me.

RE: Superman Returns Trailer
I always felt Chris was a real good Clark Kent but not really a good Superman. He portrayed the bumbling anti-super hero persona spot on.
Dean Cain was horrible. There was no difference to his acting be at Clark Kent or Superman
