RE: Time to throw in the TOWLE!!!!!!

This is what I'm talking about. There is no reason that the mold lines and the flange around the wheel well couldn't be cleaned up on the car that was to be molded. Maybe Mark does the finish work after it comes out of the mold, but wouldn't it be nice if you didn't have to do it at all? Mark do you do the bodywork on your kits before you sell them or they out of the mold? Rusty here is the first thing I would ask you to check when you get your kit. Look at the right side intake at the 6:00 position.

This is the kind of things that could be fixed on the donor before pulling molds. Here are pix of 4 different kits being built right now and yours. On is mine and the other 3 belong to other CLTC members but I won’t say who. I’m sure they can probably figure out which is theirs. These kits came from 4 different kit makers. This could have been fixed by any of them before pulling a mold. Well some of them actually came from the same molds just the owners of the molds changed. The last picture is yours. Same problem. Now one more time it's no big deal as you can fix it or maybe Mark did it for you, if so then Mark gets a big ataboy. Please let us know.

Okay so now do you see why I say that the bodywork doesn't seem to have been done before the molds were pulled? Again still not bad but it sure would be nice if the kit arrived just needing a little work and paint like all professionally made kits like the Lambo and Ferrari kits.

RE: Time to throw in the TOWLE!!!!!!

Rusty - you keep referencing the comments I have made about Mark not having molds. I have ALSO said, that he has a car to mold, and I know he was trying to mold them as soon as he could. Here is something you will learn about the bat community if you stick around - EVERYBODY eventually finds out what is going on begind the scenes. The builders all have similar contacts who talk to each other and spread info around and tell people what so-and-so said, etc. I need to check my records so I can remember who told me this, but Mark was RECENTLY looking for someone from up north to come down to his shop to mold his car. RECENTLY! This is from a builder up north who is fairly well known here - not MY words. He was all set until Mark explained to him that he would pay him AFTER he got his molds and sold his first kit. WHY would he be seeking out someone to mold his car relatively RECENTLY if he's had molds all along??

Second, we've all seen the pics of Brin's car sitting in the dirt. Again, many of these were RECENT pics. So either a) Nothing was done to the car and it was molded as is, or b) Mark rebuild the body OVERNIGHT and molded it.

Third, the people who you say I "got to come over and claim" that Mark didn't have any molds, are people who have BEEN TO MARK'S SHOP more than probably anybody else in this industry. NOBODY has made more public trips to BOTH of Mark's shop - period. So why would I NOT believe them when THEY told ME that there were no evidence of any 89 molds? Only Brin's body sitting in the dirt. And I was given this information both while they were still on good terms with Mark, AND after.

Fourth, when Mark finally did mold Brin's car (as I had said he would eventually) and you apparently had seen pictures, why did you not come on here and tell us all? Or even, why did Mark not produce photos? To my knowledge, with the exception of Jack, none of us are mind readers. So when Mark finally got around to making molds, were we supposed to just "know" somehow without ever seeing them or any trace that they exist, when people who were AT MARK'S SHOP stated clearly that they didn't exist, and he was in the process of contacting people up north to mold his car??? The answer is simple Rusty - Mark made his molds RECENTLY. Probably when you got your first pics, he had JUST gotten the molds (what, a month or two ago? You haven't been around here TOO long). So that was NEW information. And sorry, Mark's word or KORY'S word actually is just not good enough to cut it around here. As Jack once said "Show us some pictures or shut up" (I paraphrased)

RE: Time to throw in the TOWLE!!!!!!

And another thing, Rusty (btw, don't take anything I say to you in a negative manner please... I DO try to itemize my points and not be a jerk about things when I can avoid it...) - About this whole lawyer debate issue between me and Kory - That is most certainly NOT what Kory tries to do! Don't take for granted that you are on their good side right now. I was too, once. Kory and I used to talk ALL THE TIME on the phone, and he was the nicest guy ever. With the exception of all the negatives I heard him say about Don, Paul, and pretty much anyone else who had wronged him, he was fun to talk too. Seemed to have alot of information when I first started researching replicas.... But that all went SOUTH when I decided to stick up for another kit maker. The minute THEY are not getting your money or whatever they want from you, you are screwed.

The kind of USELESS DRIVVLE (sp?) that comes out of Kory is NOTHING convincig and NOTHING that is helpful to his case and NOTHING that will change anybody's minds about anything. Let me illustrate (taken from MY old message board before CLTC really popped off):

You will have to click and see the full size images to read the meassages. Let's start with me logging Kory's IP address when he came around trying to bash my BUSINESS (not even Bat related) when he decided he didn't like me:
http://www.chickslovethecar.com/images/uploaded2/210200614530dt_b_ip.gif
Now check this link with HIS Screen name and the SAME IP... Hmmm... Now why would he be using other aliases to bash people?

Here we have Kory threatening to look into my military background because "obviously", I am full of crap. Oh, and this is after I warned him to be RELATIVELY civil when bashing people on my board. I had already banned AND unbanned him.
http://www.chickslovethecar.com/images/uploaded2/210200615940kcg3.gif

Now this is a fun one... Look how civil and professional Kory is... Not like any lawyer I have ever met! I wonder - is "P***Y with alot of lip" a legal term?
http://www.chickslovethecar.com/images/uploaded2/210200615113kcg4.gif

Here he is STARTING to bother me about my military time... Again, NOTHING to do with Batmobile stuff or quality issues. Just trying to hurt people in any way he can... It got REALLY bad from here - I finally had to post my DD214, and a crap load of other official documents before he dropped the issue.
http://www.chickslovethecar.com/images/uploaded2/2102006151225kcg5.gif

Here is when (apparently) his WIFE actually stepped in! Turns out she is just as vulgar as him!
http://www.chickslovethecar.com/images/uploaded2/210200615142kcg6.gif
http://www.chickslovethecar.com/images/uploaded2/2102006151532kcg8.gif

This is another fun one... Out of the blue he came on my board after I posted the video of me in Nate's Batmobile, and of all things, he attacked the way I look! I responded fairly diplomatically, and he continued to push it.
http://www.chickslovethecar.com/images/uploaded2/2102006151758kcg_ip.gif

So this is another thing I would like you to eventually understand Rusty - KORY DOES NOT DEBATE. He does not "present his facts", and he is NOTHING like a lawyer except in the fact that he LIES alot. I am sure during the course of you speaking to him on the phone, he will have LOTS of negative things to say about me and I am SURE he will give you lots of good reasons why I am full of crap. I don't really care anymore. He has tried the same thing with LOTS of my friends in this industry - Dan being the most recent (just a couple of weeks ago in fact!). But hey, don't take my words or my screen captures for it... JACK - In the e-mail that he sent you, did he present his case reasonably and explain his side of the story? Or did he simply attack you and be a complete ass?

As for the people I have "brought over" to this board, they got tired of dealing with MT and Kory also. After all, at least two of them were CLIENTS of his. Not just random guys or trolls.

So as much as I would love to debate issues with Kory. That is impossible. And my final word on this is - you cannot compare the way Kory and I address issues, because it is NIGHT and DAY. I try to defend my position to the best of my ability, and when I am wrong, I admit it. Kory just calls people names and treats them like dirt if they don't agree with him (HEY KORY - I KNOW YOU CAN READ THIS - WHERE ARE THE ORIGINAL '89's AGAIN? STILL IN ENGLAND? NEVER LEFT? OH YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT......). But, as I mentioned, don't take my word for it. Most members of this board AND the '66 board have already dealt with these guys.

OH and one more issue that is neither here nor there... Brett was another troll that came around and acted JUST LIKE KORY. Nowadays, they are friends and he pops up occasionally to defend MT and Kory conveniently... (well, not anymore becuase he was banned from BOTH boards) Anyways, HE TOO was a friend of mine at one point. We spoke on the phone and exchanged information all the time. And guess what? He HATED Mark and Kory for a long time! He has all sorts of things to say about the M5 he bought from Mark, and how Mark lied about the engine being rebuilt, etc. It wasn't until it was CONVENIENT for them to join forces that suddenly all these issues (disappeared). Don't believe me? Here is one of his 'friendlier' posts:

RE: Time to throw in the TOWLE!!!!!!

Since none of that has anything to do with the 89 and because you seemed to miss my post that I worked so hard on to explain why I said what I said about the molds please go back a few post and enjoy my detective work. Oh and incase you are wondering Yes Justin is correct I am a professional Psychic. My latest prediction centers on a smelly brown substance soon to hit a rotating bladed item.

RE: Time to throw in the TOWLE!!!!!!

Exactly, it's all fixable. The point was it would be nice to be able to buy one of these kits in perfect condition? Like so many other kits out there. Yes that hole needs to be cut out but does your kit include the correct scoops? No, why because they were never molded off of the original. Why I have no idea. I do hope that someday someone will find a completed WB car and mold them or even sculpt them. Paul has a nice scoop that will work, well actually he now has two styles. I just used that area as an example. I could have pointed to the mold line around the brake coolers or the wheel well openings or the line between the front and rear halves or that it doesn’t have grills in front of the canopy, etc. I was just trying to explain why I said it appears that Mark didn’t do anything to Brin’s not Brin’s body before pulling the molds. Again no big deal. In fact it’s cool because now I can copy what ever you do to fix yours…

About the warpage. When you get your kit I'll ask you to check a couple of areas. Actually I don't even know if it's fair to call it a warp of if it was sculpted that way. Remember this car was sculpted the old fashion way, by hand and in only a few weeks.

Yeah that's the picture I zoomed in on. Would you like some more comparisons or would you rather wait until you get your body? When are you due to get it?
