Nitro, if you would just share your pictures, experience, and video there would be a “how to”. But you choose to keep your project secret. What a shame all your work is only benefiting you, what a shame indeed.

It's a shame really. And to think he turned out to be queer, too......

It must be the black rubber suit, or the shape of the car as a phalic symbol.

A little song, a little dance..... Batman's head on a lance.

Does Tammy know?

But seriously, I'm sure we would all love to see how you set up your canopy actuator, how you got your canopy and trunk to fit correctly, how you hinged your trunk, your machine guns, your das, your canopy grills, you know all the good stuff. Damn, I just realized you have already figured out all of the hard stuff so you should be the one giving advise not asking for it.

Now that you are out of the lifestyle closet you need to come out of the replica one.

Oh I must have missed that one.

So DH are you in screen capture mode? This will take you back about a year but do you remember when I said I watched Batman and Returns frame by frame? Well it's time to do it again. I just hope the "building the Batmobile" is everything we have hoped for. It would be great if they said we used this part off of this year and model aircraft, heck and you can buy them from this place. I know that is asking for a lot but I do bet we are able to get some really cool screen captures that we have never seen before.

The same goes for The Tumbler. Should be useful for Bob on his Tumbler project.

RE: Batman Special Edition DVD

I Got the deluxe DVD (begins) already. Tumbler part is cool. Not technicaly informative, but cool. There are so many great shots of the tumbler even before the movie came out, I can't say these are better just different. Lots of testing the chassis stuff (ramp jumping).
the fight training stuff is cool, as is the batsuit stuff. They do it just like I do.
The interviews with the D.C. staff gets a little boring though.
The DVD movie itself is sharper and clearer than in the theater. I was impressed with how crisp it is.

Bob, so we get to see the Tumbler without it's skin? Any details about the front suspension and steering?

RE: Batman Special Edition DVD

Got both BEGINS & BATMAN SE.

Begins has a good section on the tumbler, not great but good. Too many shots of the movie being filmed, not enough of how the tumbler was built for the 'fans'.

"Building the Batmobile" from Batman SE is far too short a section (9 mins!!!!!). Aside from finding out the front lights were from a Honda Civic (turned upside down), there is too little info on how the car was put together. Ok we knew that the cars shape was sculpted from foam then fibreglassed. The rear light are Ferrari lights. We also knew that a harrier jet was incorporated into the design of the car & it had an Impala engine in it. But what about sourcing all those other pieces (side pipes, exhausts, etc). They could have at least put up a list of phone numbers & adressess of where they sourced their parts from!!!

It sure would have helped many people on this board.

At least they gave CLTC a mention
" You didn't have the internet, you know with all the sites now that post pictures and everything"

I now have to console myself that as the cars were put together in England, it should be possible to get the bits I need locally.
