...and trying to get the house ready to sell, and working 12hour shifts all last week, and being on weekend duty standby? I have no idea!

Jack I am seriously considering coming by your house at 3:19am tonite and stealing that dash. I looks awesome. About how long do you estimate you put forth into this piece altogether?

RE: 89 Dash Update

I have no idea how much time I have in it but I will say I spent 6 hours lining up panels and drilling holes. Between the cardboard mock up and such, probably close to 4 days or around 20 to 30 hours. I still have to cover it in leather and then install all of the panels, gauges, and mixed hardware and switches. Total cost will be some where near $700. Thanks for the compliments. I really do appreciate the feedback.

Kevin the race is on...... Oh guess who got his car running this week? Kevin did!!!

RE: 89 Dash Update

Jack; you may want to use Delron instead of Lexan for the cover panels it is much stronger than Lexan and will bend a great deal without breaking. I can't wait to see it covered, more pictures please.

Please send me more free stuff!!

You mean these? You should know by now that I only use steel or aluminum. These are aluminum.

They look better in flat black.

RE: 89 Dash Update

I really thought I had posted that picture before. The gauges are 2 1/16" and 3 3/4".

I'll be taking the dash to the leather guy tomorrow to see how much it's going to cost to cover it and the center console. Like I need a dash and console right now, I don't even have brakes yet. This is why I never finish anything and why I'm always broke. Anyway should look nice hanging on the wall.

RE: 89 Dash Update

That's what I was wondering. And to make it professional, a heat gun from Home Depot is super cheap!
