I seem to remmember that the side mechanics were metal, but the canopy was definately manual opening when my kids got to sit in her. I believe its a promo car, but have never asked anyone at COTS. I do know that the owner has many screen used vehicles but I'm still pretty sure its a WB replica, although I have been assured all cars on show are fully drivable (i'll be so dissappointed if I find out it is another Kruze #2) Been a long time since I saw her last, so another trip is definately on the way. I'll keep you guys posted but I want to see (& hopefully photograph) The side mechanics including part number. The interior (didn't even see it myself, all I got was my oldest sons description!!!!) Tyre sizes & make. Model number from under the gas caps. Latches & clowntrippers. Rear turbine & exhaust shots. & every other close up shot I can get away with. 
And yes I will post them all.

RE: What do ya want Pic's of ? (Not you Jack!!!) No Justin, Peter's place is in the north, near the border. Star Cars U.K. is just outside London and they are the ones who have my cars and bikes. Peter has my KITT Convertible that he bought from Branson and some other toys that Jay sent him.

TAKEN FROM THE WEBSITE "You can hire any Cars of the Star vehicle from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to Del Boys three wheeler. If you have a promotional event, car show, or just a special occassion which you feel would benefit by the presence of 'a star' then please feel free to contact us. Vehicle hire can be from one day to serveral months if required. Typical prices start from £500 per day plus transport upto £1500 for the latest Batmobile" Anyone???

RE: What do ya want Pic's of ? (Not you Jack!!!) Dee I believe that if you hire the 89, you only get a static display. I was told that WB 'allow' promotional use of the 89 at certain times (hence I was allowed to take pics when my kids sat in her). If you read the WB contract, it seems to ban the 89 from being driven in PUBLIC but does allow PUBLIC display. Mr A

RE: What do ya want Pic's of ? (Not you Jack!!!) You can buy a permit from WB to display any of these cars. A "single event" permit is 10K. Why do you think we charge so much to display this stuff at auto shows?
