I found a link to buy some prismatic lens material for my custom "S" tail light... CLICK HERE FOR THE LINK
Anybody know of any other good sources?

That stuff is probably better quality, but I just bought a $6 sheet of clear overhead lighting material at Home Depot. That looks like it would be too small for a 66 tail light anyway, but for a motorcycle, I am sure it would work well.

Overhead lighting material? Like overhead projector, or the stuff that covers the light fixures in an office? Does it come in red?

I used clear red plastic and then the clear office lighting stuff behind it.
But use the clear diffuser stuff, not white, more light can get through.

So you don't just use the clear red plastic (frome Home Depot) correct? The white layer behind it (like in my drawing) is necessary?

And the funny thing N8 is that it's the same lighting diffuser that was glued to the body buck to make the steps for the 89.

If you don't use the clear diffuser, you just see a light bulb and it's not very bright.

The steps for the '89 were molded? i always thought it was the non-skid adhesive material...

Yeah - those steps are molded!?!?!? That's a revelation. I also though it was a non-skid tape or something....
