RE: marks molds Looks good so far. I just wish someone would take the time to fix the area where the side mechanics go, add the side intakes and maybe even add the grills in front of the canopy. Mark do you clean up your bodies? i.e. I mean clean up the part lines and remove any wax or other mold prep from your kits? Rusty thanks for the pix I was really starting to have withdrawls....

RE: marks molds You damn skippy, Skippy...... Rusty all I ask of you as a owner/builder is that you do your part to help others with their build. That's what I try to do. Yep sometimes it sucks knowing their car will be better because of my mistakes, but to me it's really all about the car. I also think that it helps to promote CLTC and gets others into buying and building an 89. Hey you could answer that....Did CLTC help you decide to go for it? Oh yeah and let me not forget JACK LOVES PICTURES.....

RE: marks molds Honest input from you guys (you know who you are). What if Rusty gets his body and he is 100% happy with it. He says it's awesome and even better than expected. He is happy with the cost and the quality. Does that mean the war is over? Can you accept that? Just wondering because I've said this before but some seem to live for the war. I know some of you have some deep-rooted issues with each other. Also let me make sure I have this correct. The folks who offer 89 kits are just Batgod and Mark. I know Kevin will someday and I have no idea what happened to RY. Is that it? Does this mean now it comes down to the quality and each builder will have to offer better kits at lower prices or does it mean a different war. Better kits like including the speaker box panels, side intakes, front turbines, shifter, canopy grills, taillights, turbines, dashes, guns, real side mechanics…..etc… |

RE: marks molds Unfortunately Jack, no. This 'war' is not currently, and really has never been about who makes the best stuff. I was touting Mark as one of the best '66 builders for MONTHS even after we fell out of good terms. To be quite honest, most of the fighting revolves around 2 petty issues: 1 - Kory's constantly bashing other builders and Mark's huge ego. He (Kory) tends to trash other people no matter HOW good their product is. Ask Paul, Don, Doug or any number of other people who have tried to make something in this industry. That won't go away just because Mark now sells '89 kits. 2 - There is alot that goes on offboard involving threats, intimidation, yelling, late night phone calls, etc. that usually involves Kory. This is another thing that will not stop just because Mark has '89 molds now. To be fair - I have only received the one threatening call from Mark before. I received another call when I was in Mexico so I was only able to hear the voicemail when I got back over a year ago, but it wasn't a threat so much as it was a 'bring it on' call (remember Mark? When I was doing the background investigation on you and Kory because you guys wouldn't leave me alone?) Now having said that, I can certainly put alot of this behind me as it relates to MARK. Kory, I will NEVER care to hear anything out of that windbag. He has even RECENTLY been calling friends of mine from this board trying to discredit me. It never stops. Also, the lies he (Kory) has spread in the past have pretty much made it impossible to believe a word he ever says. As he is Mark's salesperson, the two are connected. Mark himself, although he likes to call everyone AROUND him liars, has been caught in quite a few since coming to CLTC. Also makes it tough to accept whatever he says as gospel truth. Also remember if you will (I would look for the thread, but I wouldn't even know where to start!) the first post I ever made towards Mark on this board. It WAS friendly and accepting and I was obviously willing to give the guy another chance. He responded with a rude gesture and basically "Hey Justin, I don't like you and I never have and never will. Don't talk to me!" But a little ruder than that. Now, back to being fair - I can always give it ANOTHER try (I think I'm on try number 11?) but it is really up to Mark. I can ALWAYS give credit where credit is due. BUT I will also always speak my mind about the quality of what I see. So if Mark puts out great stuff - AWESOME! I just don't want to hear him or Kory tearing anybody down! (I know Kory is banned - but like I said, alot of it happens OFF the board) But if his stuff is crap, I will be critical just as I would anything else. RE: marks molds i have wanted a 89 for years and i have (lurked) in cltc many times. before i joined. over a year ago i called doug h and asked him about a 89 and he told me to give him a while to try to get some molds so i waited a year and called again but no 89. so i joined about nov and started posting i said i was looking for a body and someone to be strait up with me and i gave everone a chance to sell me one only one person said i will sell you a 89 and it was kory and mark.just a plain and simply yes. don c said i cant help and batgod was wanting a 1000 dollars just to talk about it. or me and a friend get on a plane with 18000 in our pocket . but thats not the way i do business. so i talked with kory and told him what i wanted no.1 a contract ..and for that stuff that mark writes them for himself is wrong he changed his three times until i was happy and when to alot more trouble just to satisfy me .no.2 get it done fast when we make the deal. so i told kory after the holidays i wanted to do it and the day i left for gatlinburg the deal started and now im just waiting on shiping. (that's fast and mark and kory have been good to me ) and they were allways strait up i knew all about c woodside before it happened . and the whole time my body is getting pulled justin is saying his friends know there's no mold's (that's in the craps hitting the fan posts) before i did any deal. mark knew i was stait up and offered to show me his molds so what i am saying it is very easy to get a 89 if you want one no hoops to jump through the price is right and they will go out of there way to make you happy .and we will all see very soon the product what else can you ask for ( and yes jack he does finsh the seams ) but you might can see tonight i plan on showing a video and more picture's |

RE: marks molds Actually I was joking about the Brin thing. 
On the real car there the side mechanic panel was stepped (see picture). On the replicas that panel was flat but had a cut out near the front where the step would have been. On most kits and it seems to be the same on your the panel where the side mechanics go isn't straight and seems to be incomplete. I know that doesn't make much since but I don't seem to have a picture of mine before I cut it out and replaced it with steel. What I would do is either even up that panel or better yet add the step like the real car. Mark can you post a side view of your body and I'll edit it to show you what I mean. Thanks
