Speaking of Watermarks

Tim, N8 had a great idea. How about a watermark for the owner/builders? Something that says this is mine? Maybe one that say "Built by N8" or "Just Jack" or "Gothic Avenger" or "Kevin Sucks". Nitro wouldn't need one for obvious reasons. How about the CLTC watermark with our name or logo under it. That way everyone would have their own watermark and it would still support CLTC.

You know when Nitro does decide to share I will probably wet myself at how awesome his BBC is. I mean the few pix I have seen are amazing.

Damn derailed my own thread.

I'd be happy to supply everyone with their own personal watermark. Are you all using PhotoShop?? (please say yes and make my life easier)

RE: Speaking of Watermarks

I know why everyone is watermarking, but after staring at over 20 finished 66 mobiles and trying to memorize whos' is whos based on their dash, it would be nice to just see a watermark and go "oh, that's Jacks car" Of course I have no idea how to watermark any of my own stuff, but
I have a logo you could add to the cltc to tell it apart. Oh yeah, I have an 89. Lineage is some guy glassed the car, Paul did the glass on some parts that are not in the photos like the gundoors and they were out of some mysterious mold they had access to but have never seen.

This is an old shot before I owned it, I think outside the USA, no wheels.
Then that guy mounted it on a frame and some wheels and towed it around to show all those around him.
And here it is back at Wayne Tech without wheels seeing if it will fit in a paint booth! (Canada border rules long story on the wheels) I have seen photos of this body posted in times past, but these "three" bodies are really just one. Now to drain my kids college funds...
Stay tuned batfans.....

I was wondering when you would finally go public! All the subtle hints... I wonder how many people figured it out already?

Jack and Tim - thanks for the watermark! I will edit mine with a custom logo added or something. Tim - yours got to me exactly 5 minutes before Jack's. Are you guys SURE you are different people?

RE: Speaking of Watermarks

"they were out of some mysterious mold they had access to but have never seen."

That works for me!

As for watermarks.

I've always had them.

Outside of this board, I've always put a girl on every car that's rolled out of here. Usually in some outfit that matches the style of the car.

One Knight Rider car, General Lee or Batmobile might look like another, but each girl is different. I've got a model release on file from each and every one so, legally, I'm the only one allowed to display her pic. Anyone using my pic for profit or simply displaying it without my permission can get a very swift legal kick in the butt because of the release and the ease of identification of the girl in the pic.

(Much easier to prove than "this is MY Batmobile" kinda stuff)

I'm happy with my watermarks and they're a bit more subtle.

PLUS... I have a calendar with 16 months of all the girls and movie cars on it on a regular basis.

Chances are... you see a girl on a movie car in a photo or website or magazine... It's probably one of mine.

Nice car Nate! hehehehe

RE: Speaking of Watermarks

I do find it amazing that these guys can pull cars out of molds they have never laid eyes on, or even know the wheereabouts of them!
No that's not Mark T. That's Eddie Paul, he's doing the mounting for me and lives only 4.5 miles from my house! Great shop, good people, and if you make fun of his coworkers again I will have to go on the attack! There was no beer anywhere to be found! Once something has actually happened on the car, I will post some more photos, unless you want to see fiberglass on the ground in various poses.

Hey, how about an icon of a bat body with no wheels?
