That car looks slapped together, rather than built with any care. Who's dumb idea was it to park it for show.... NOoooooooooo. If you were ever to park the real car next to that, you would see sooooo many things wrong apart from the front axle and dodgy thin tires.

It is an insult to an already bad car.

RE: Six Flags Tumbler

Well, as far as an exact replica goes, obviously it isn't that. I worked for six flags building batsuits back in 92, and they are much more concerned with praticality then movie exactness. Then there are budget constraints, and skill set constraints. Parts of the car that might have been more accurate had they been sculpted, may not have been an option for these folks. They also have to be concerned about vehicle maintinence, and longevity, So you want to go with what you know how to do best, and not risk doing anything too radically new, because at these stunt shows they really beat the crap outa the stuff they use.

s'pose it's better than the batbike they were using, but not by much. I would prefer the car was accurate and did less.

Besides, even kids spot differences enough to ask "What happened to the Batmobile daddy??? " or "that's not the real Batmobile, is it daddy????"

RE: Six Flags Tumbler

Problem is, it's not up to them (rodsandracers) to decide how the car has to perform. At the end of the day it's just a job, and they have to treat it as such. I'm sure the construction is sound, but what a lot of car builders outside of the movie venue don't understand is that when you don't copy something exact, it gets percieved as a sort of goof, or lack of ability on the part of the builder in the eyes of the prop collecting world. What they will have to live down with people who frequent these type of boards, and other hard core fans, is that they didn't do such a great job replicating. which is too bad, because construction-wise it's probaly done really, really well(I'm guessing).
I place the visual aspect ahead of durability, or mechanical issues in everything I do, but since I do it for myself, I have that luxury, when you are working for an amusement park, you do not.
