Batmobiles in the UK

Okay, I apologise if I'm stomping over old ground with this one, but I wondered if someone could tell me if there are any working Batmobiles (89 onwards) in the UK owned by 'normal people' (ie not museums etc). And if so, in what areas...
I thought there might be some sort of club, but this engrossing website (I've spent the best part of the afternoon trawling it!) is the closest I've come to finding Batmobile enthusiasts.
Many thanks,
The Ed

Hi Dee,
Oh, if only!!! No, although I may have a use for an existing one (if the owner is willing). Long story.
I have to say, finding this site is a real 'Thank God I'm not the only one!' experience!!
Ed

RE: Batmobiles in the UK

Thanks for the threads Webmaster, hadn't checked those out... Martin's 66 stuff look fantastic, but I'm still unsure if anyone here actually owns a replica in the UK of anything from 89 onwards. I figured there's got to be a few somewhere...
Does this mean that there's really nobody in the UK who has a Batmobile? That's insane! I honestly thought there'd be quite a few knocking about.

RE: Batmobiles in the UK

FYI photos of the 66 on Martin's site are shots my Currie car, with a lot of great work and paint by Mark T. As a favor to Don I said it was OK to post shots to see what a finished car would look like. So there is very little chance a Martin car would look like my car as far as details are concerned. Lots of talented folks added their skills to finish my 66.

yes, that is my car in front of Barris' shop in No. Hollywood!
