You know i think those gas caps fit the general theme of the car better than the cobra ones. Never gave it much thought before but i like them.

Are the rear wings curved outwards like that on other cars, too?

I can believe it has those gas caps. They look like the ones I put on the GA! I think the car looks great and its an original sculpt.

RE: More pics of the Batmobile from Sweden

A guy here in sweden made a replica 89 batmobile from scratch by him self and his crew, its complete now and it have all the stuff the real car had in the movie, machine gun, voice command.. etc all that stuff..
Before he started to build it he had talked to warner bro and asked them if he could built it, they said no. he asked them again a year later, they said no... 3rd time he asked them they said no again, and he started to built it anyway. When warner bro saw the car when it was almost done they were extremly impressed and helped him whit the final touches.
Warner Bro told him and the crew that he have made the best 89 matmobile to date, best replica. its even better built then the real car that was used in the movie, warner bro said... the car he had built was/had 40% better quality and better built!

The wings look correct in some of the pictures and wrong in others. It must just be the angle at which the pictures were taken. I didn't know the car was functional at all. It always looked as if it was on blocks in the older pictures.

I still find it hard to believe that Warner Bros would "help with the final touches" on ANY replica... It kinda goes against everything I have heard to date.

RE: More pics of the Batmobile from Sweden

Ok here's English translation of the spec:

Building time:
20 000 hours
Motor:
460 Ford big block V8, 700 hp
Body:
Lincoln Continental, 1973
Accessories:
Satellite navigation, voice control, machine gun, rear cameras, adjustable body, DVD, plasma monitor, etc.

The car is six meters long and weighs 2,2 tons; its value is 8 million SEK.
It's 6 meters long (apx 18 feet), weighs 2.2 tons and has a very powerful 1000 horsepower motor and an actual jet engine from a military helicopter for the rear afterburner, supposedly fully functional

Doohee could you find out what he used for tires rims and head lights?
Why no bats on wheels as well, WB thing or just wanted to be diffrent.
Sg1 I had my doubts as far as your trunk lid looking good on a full size car but WOW that too is better looking than the real car .Good call!

Any clue how his canopy opens doesnt look like there is any slit in the hood for a roller or slide? Look how close the canopy sits on the hood.
