sheesh, remember "curb feelers". Now you just add these,and instead of hearing a soft scraping sound, you just demolish anything you come to close to.
I can't get why he had to back up, wreck the cars, pull forward and stop. Were they thinking, "lets have Batman wreck a couple of cars, just to show that he can"..

If we're going to look at the easter egg of the dvd, I think the original plan would be to make the Tumbler go on top of the two cars.
Being a car with no bumpers, it logical to except it to act that way,
But then they must have realized that the tumbler squeezing its way between the two cars would be a more logical scenario (not to mention more bad@SS scenario), so they put the hidden bumpers there.
I still don't think the revelation of the bumbpers degrades the tumbler whatsoever. It will still go over the two cars without it, which is still cool in my opinion.
