Hey, the nemae's Tim, I live in Northern illinois and I've been a bat-fan since before I can remember.
I always dreamed of a batman costume, and Halloween of 2006 that dream came true.... I'm now doing non-profit appearances in my area.
I've developed from this costume shown in the pics to a "DeadEnd" inspired costume and I'm currently developing a 92 costume....
If I get enough response to this thread, I'll post pics of my costumes as-is.
We have a car museum that has an 89 car, a 66 car, and the screen-used batrocket on display. I called ahead to let the curator know that I am a batman costumer and wanted to sit in the batmobiles he had on display.... He had no problem with it.
I was surprised to find the canopy on the '89 open and the electronics for the '66 turned on. I go a pic of me in my street clothes, changed into my suit and, well, I'll let the pics speak for themselves:

In case you can't tell, they had Joker and Penguin mannequins on display behind the bat-missle. I don't know what happened, but Joker's left arm was laying on he floor behind him. You wouldn't have known unless you really looked, though.
For the Blue Boyscouts out there, I tried to get a good pic of the boots on the Chris Reeves suit they had, along with the belt. I never saw good images of them before, so I thought it would be a good contribution to the costumers.

I want to thank my all-too-patient mom for taking the pics.
Enjoy the pics, let me know what you think,
A very happy Bat

I live about 30 minutes from these things, but I'm pretty sure I coudln't get an "upskirt" of 'em..... they're on display in an auto museum and security ain't nothin to laugh at.... I guess they just trusted me..
Here's my comic costume as it stands:

the belt is a custom job, and well worth it.
Then... here's the starting point for my returns suit:

I plan on goign all out on this: cowl, cape, gloves, boots, leg armor, belt, etc.....
I suited up with my current cowl and cape to snapp this:

And one just for drooling over:

That buckle is a functional 89 plated in 18kt gold..... it's not on a belt, but it will be remedied for display....

the chest came form a guy out in california....
mask is a mass-produced "Clooney,"
gold belt is a mass produced Begins,
cape was a cheap one from party city... cut the scallops into it.
I haev a long-term goal of a 100% accurate Returns costume and the car by age 30...... I'm 18 now.....

If you have a strong enough will, it WILL happen, trust me. NEVER GIVE UP! I'm 23, about to be a proud parent, but am i throwing my dreams away? NO! they are only getting better. I convinced myself the other day to attempt a Tumbler, so i will in years to come. My brother has me researching the idea of making is 1987 Monte Carlo into a #3 Goodwrench Replica with all the roll cage, etc goodies. And im currently restoring a 72 Camaro. I love building, i love creating new ideas. If you push hard you will achieve far my friend, just you wait and see. And DONT EVER let the lack of funds stop you. It hasnt stopped me. Never give up, ever!
