Hello Everyone: As I prepare to physically build my Tumbler's lower chassis and frame I am thinking back to a weakness I identified and overcame. Early on I realized I knew little about vehicles and hardly anything about chassis, frames, structure, related materials specifications, and associated component integration. What I did have was an assumption that a sudden major chassis failure would almost certainly be potentially life threatening to the driver and others in the vicenity. With that said I realized that I could not take building the Tumbler chassis lightly. With potentially life threatening risks inherit to designing and constructing the Tumbler chassis/frame utmost care would have to be taken with every aspect of design and construction. That said I began to buy books off Amazon on vehicle chassis and frame design. After studing a dozen or so books, mostly on race car designs, and filling a notebook with notes and Tumbler specific aspects I was ready to design my Tumbler chassis/frame. Two books in particular stand out and knowing what I know now with them I could have skipped most of the others I read. First book, THE RACE CAR CHASSIS: Desig, Structures, and materials for road, drag and circle track open and closed wheel chassis by Forbes Aird ISBN: 978-1-55788-540-1. Simply the best critical information and summary inclusive text on chassis design and materials strength and specification Second book, ADVANCED RACE CAR CHASSIS TECHNOLOGY by Bob Bolles  ISBN: 978-1-55788-562-3 An excellent overview of component parts, chassis setup, and systems interactivity. Thanks for listening. vertigo
