I think I'll jump on the wagon and build my own Tumbler. I have very little experience with anything mechanical but I am good with computers, so any 3D models that I can download and look at freely would be great.
Just anything would be helpful. Also, I'm looking for this to be street legal and 1:1 scale.
Big Wave Dave, I really liked the look of yours. But I can't seem to find your thread anywhere about your build, got a link?
Edit: I saw chilebean's topic he used a frame from a truck, would that be easier for a build like mine, since I'm new to this stuff?

Everyone here kinda just chooses the path that best suites them. There really is not a set template for how to build a Batmobile. I've spent almost 5 years reverse engineering the car from photos and there is still new things I find to this day that I add to my 3D model. My suggestion is to find a path for the build that best suites your taste (hot rodder, military grade, racer, etc) and go with it. I personally am sticking to the original, bolt for bolt just so I can see if i can fool anyone with the amount of detail I plan on putting into my build.
