Hey there everyone. Check out the 1989 BATMOBILE page of my site to view a new replica that is lurking out there. The owner still wishes to remain anonymous, and has asked me not to allow anyone to copy his images. This is understandable since some people out there take images and claim them as their own....

Check them out and enjoy! Oh - the body is a Bob Butts body and is about 90% complete (if I remember correctly).

www.thebatcave8k.com as always thanks for keeping the loyal fans updated. I am a bit surprised and disappointed that kits have not been made available following the expiration of the patent. I guess only time will tell.

How many people who read these messages are at this point actually building a replica? That goes for anyone who is building any B-machine replica. It does not matter if it is out of Frito's or an exact full-scale replica. Seems to me that there are a lot less than I would have guessed. Yes, I am building a replica of the car but I am only 50% done.

www.thebatcave8k.com has the largest selection of replicas I have seen to date. Great job.

Boy, I'd sure like to see your replica, do you have any pictures?. I am currently building a 1989 batmobile "inspired" go-cart. Maybe you've seen it. Whatever you do, don't change the gas caps, the originals are so cool...

thats cuz theres not really much information to put out there, a lot of people who build batmobiles pretty much custome fabricate everything on them so theres no real part list out there. the other thing is the people building replicas right now, are fabricators and dont have a lot of questions. when kits are put out more people will start building batmobiles, and people that arent fabricators will start asking more question such as where to get parts, a part list will start to grow, and for parts that cant be found easly people will start offering. so the information that you want will grow but only in time.

I say all those builders just donate 2.5k and build a shoddy replica and pay off someone to drive in front of WB studio and see what happens.

How is it that everyone thinks is WB that holds the rights to the 1989 Batmobile? The patent was held by DC Comics, Inc. WB has the copyright on the movie.

Does anyone have any concrete evidence of WB (or DC Comics for that matter) ever going after anyone with any sort of replica? All I've heard of are vague rumors...

Hey there Jax. Thanks for the kind words! I am still working on that information for you... Our friend has been out of commission still because of the computer crash, so he does not get on his e-mail very often. I promise he will contact you as soon as he is able! He is literally overflowing with answers for you.

As for everyone else, I am still working on a parts list for the '89 replicas. http://www.thebatcave8k.com/1989batmobile_parts.htm I do not have very much yet, but give me time. I had the wind taken out of my sails a month and a half ago, and alot of progress was lost when I had to move my site to the new URL. No worries though, because traffic is picking up again, and soon the benefit of having 1000 visitors per day will begin and people will start sending me more and more information again. WE WILL REBUILD! WE WILL MAKE HIM BETTER, STRONGER, FASTER! WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY!!!!!!!!
