Here's a topic that I haven't seen brought up: How is the body of the batmobile bolted on the chassis? That would be my real blunder if were to build one. Then again, I dont' have a really good understanding of race cars bodies.

That's a good question. I suppose you could fiberglass a bracket to the body itself and then bolt that to the body, or just build up a section of the underside of the body where the bracket would mount. Then you could tap some holes in that and bolt straight into the body itself, but the section you built up would need to be pretty strong.

The underside of the body is incased with a network of steel tubing covered with fiberglass and resin. Numerous attach points are fitted with flanges in key locations throughout the body. The front end is a forward tilting front end, at two main attach points. The Jay Ohrburg cars are a full body tilt, not unlike the funny car design.
The car itself is a donor a Chevrolet product except the retrofitted cars from TRIX Rods & Racers, that are electric. The chassis is cut and extended and welded new floorboards and firewall installed. TRIX builds a full tubular chassis for their cars.
