Tim, what's your opinion on Jimmy?

RE: Jack your car is ready

I like Jimmy, he speaks his mind but is not an A-hole... Plus we aparently both live in Middle Tennessee.

Hey Jimmy, want to meet up and see Batman Begins? We can go to Opry Mills and have beers at Jillians first.

RE: Jack your car is ready

As long as it stays reasonable it's not really a flame war. If it becomes a bunch of name calling and fight contracts them it's just stupid. Let's just hear what Kevin has to say and see what happens.

RE: Jack your car is ready

You are correct I don’t work for him, I have never taken a dime from him or any one I have worked on their cars. We use his facility I spent over a year straightening out a Bob Butts kit and remolding it. I also resculpted the Butts, Barris Black Beauty kit and remolded them In Randy’s shop, I help out when I can with anyone’s projects. I do a lot more than just hang out; I have put in thousands of hours of work for free. Just ask Bob Johnson. I do work for trade I have never taken any money.

I did this to help keep the cost down on the car. And yes we pulled one of the first cars in his shop. The molds have been at my house for six months now and only I know haw many cars have been pulled from it.

I have never said my car was finished, it’s near completion. Jack will be down this weekend why don’t you ask him. And yes my 66 isn’t complete either so what? If I didn't spend so much time on everyone elses projects I would had finished my cars a long time ago. I have spent literally years in research on the 89 car, and I have given help to all owners who has asked for it asking nothing in return. It sounds like sour grapes to me.

It looks like you are just trying to start a flame war. Why don’t you tell us all about the Bat or custom cars you have built, or better yet how much time do you donate to help out others?

RE: Jack your car is ready

Jack, take lots of pictures while you are with Kevin this weekend! Take some with you guys in the shop, too! ;) I have seen enough of Kevin's work to know I can trust his word. And on top of that, he has proven AGAIN and AGAIN that he is making progress on his '89 (these things aren't built in a day ya know! Ask Jack!), his '66, the BB molds, and many other projects I have had the liberty of seeing.

So on to this Charles Kombs person... How convenient that he has an e-mail to prove he is a real person! Oh wait... Its a Yahoo address... Hmmmm... For someone who just "stumbled across" this Cobra site, it is funny how you decided to bring all this here with such malice in your post. I know, I know - you say you aren't trying to start a flame war. But to come here and say "But when you have someone such as this continually misrepresenting himself and the truth I would hope that you would leave this information up to show what a liar Kevin truly is." you had better be ready to back up your accusations with a little more than "I made a phone call... Trust me"

And furthermore, to say that Kevin "Continually misrepresents" himself and the truth, that would imply that you have had issue with him in the past. So let's hear it - how has he "Continually misrepresented" himself and the truth? And we need a little more than "I called someone who said...". Kevin has provided us with PLENTY of pictures and offered his assistance wherever possible. If you think he is a criminal, please explain?

(of course, I'M a criminal myself, so I suppose we tend to protect our own) <-------------- HA! I beat you to it!

RE: Jack your car is ready

IP's mean very little these days Oh Wonderful Brett. Dynamic IP generators have been used in the past by several flamers on these boards (as YOU would well know Mr. 1000 IP's), and the fact that you would immediately say to DH to check the IP address.....

HAHAHA! I can't believe this alleged adult spent all this time writing this stuff. :) Are we POSITIVE he is not a 12 year old hiding behind his keyboard?
