200mm Lexan Body Kit for 1:10 Gas R/C's (HPI etc...)

It would be cool to have a body for my HPI nitro gas R/C. I run a 1:10 car which fits with the 190-200mm wide bodies. The Batmobile would look sweet and long going 60mph+ down the street. The only thing somewhat close is the richman batmobile 1:10, which is electric, but prolly wouldn't work (price, material). The gas R/C cars usually use a lexan body (plastic), that are feather light and can withstand the exhaust, motor, and heat sink high temps. If anyone knows anything (having access to a mold, or knowing people) I'd like to know for sure. Thanks.

RE: 200mm Lexan Body Kit for 1:10 Gas R/C's (HPI etc...)

I helped a friend of mine rebuild one of those electric RC batmobiles and we were looking at making a lexan copy of the body and figured there were too many problems with it to make. There are too many recesses that would cause the lexan to become too thin. Also, the dimensions call for a vehicle that (if kept the same width of 190-200mm) would be about 3-4 inches longer.

Since you mention HPI, I think you will follow me on this: the body would require a chassis with a length along the lines of the Super Nitro, but the width of a standard 200mm car. I too would love to see one, but we have yet to overcome the problems faced.

BMB15,
I have the 1/10 richman's batmobile opened up.
I'll take a pic of the shell and the bottom panel so you can get a better idea.

Probably this weekend when time permits.
