RE: !@&#$!!!

I guess people were expecting flood of batmobiles to come out of the batcaves when the patent ran out and posted stuff expecing for the D-Day.

D-Day has passed and nothing happened.
I guess the next date to look for is the Batman Begins movie release date.

The new trailer kicks ass by the way.
But the tumbler still looks horrible.
And the soundtrack has nothing on Danny Elfman's original Batman score.

RE: !@&#$!!!

I wish I could go to the site to see the trailer. Could someone post a link here so I can see it too?

"With the car, we came up with just a brute force machine that didn't actually subscribe to any time period. What we did not want to do - because we knew that the Batmobile was something that people want to see and they don't want to see a bad one - was a concept car like you see at a motor show or something like that. We wanted it to become some extraordinary machine that you had never seen before." --Anton Furst

RE: !@&#$!!!

Is the new trailer even online yet? I know it premiered with Ocean's Twelve today. I heard it'd be on the official site on 12/13.

RE: !@&#$!!!

Looks GREAT! but why is there a Jedi in this movie?

RE: !@&#$!!!

The trailer is great, why they couldn't use the 89 is beyond me. Maybe no one would ever want to copy the tumbler.

RE: !@&#$!!!

I'm glad they're not using the '89. The whole concept for this movie is based in reality (to a point). What would batman need a car like the '89 for? Can you imagine our military out there driving '89s? Of course not. Obviously, I love the '89 as much as anyone but "Batman Begins" is a whole new movie and the "Batmobile" is finally a true fighting vehicle. I'll bet they don't even call it the Batmobile.

RE: !@&#$!!!

Maybe they could've used some 89 mobile lookalike that still needs refining.

The jet turbine could exposed and have welded parts sticking out here and there.
So definitely this one wouldn't have any shields so it'd have some other crude protecting panels welded.

Though I'm not disappointed with the tumbler, I'm not happy with it either.

RE: !@&#$!!!

FYI, I just went through 3 non english sites that have blatantly stolen images off this site.
So please be considerate and mention the source where the images are from when you use them from this site.

All the images on this site are:
1. Scanned by myself from various magazines and books that I have acquired though ebay or used bookstores.
2. Taken from other sites after I had contacted the respective owner(or who I think is the respective owner) and gotten permission.
3. Occassionally, I do not get a response from the emails so I send them another email telling them that I've posted the image and that I will take them down if they wish.

Anyway, sorry for the rant.

RE: !@&#$!!!

From the look of the new trailer, "Batman Begins" is looking to be absolutely stellar.

Finally, no more 'Batman as a Gotham socialite' films (i.e. Schumacher films).
