Does anyone here own a studioscale 89 Batmobile or Batwing?

I've seen a few of them before but it's been a while. I'd love to see pics if anyone has them. I'm not sure but I think they were 1/8 scale. - J

RE: Does anyone here own a studioscale 89 Batmobile or Batwing?

There used to be someone selling 1/7 scale resin batmobile kit from time to time on ebay.
It usually went for around 200 dollars but I think he was based in U.K.
So shipping to US proved to too much of a problem.

At least that's why I could never get it at a reasonable price.

RE: Does anyone here own a studioscale 89 Batmobile or Batwing?

Just found this site and wanted to say hi, and yes to both items. I also did a LOT of work on the various Hot Wheels Batmobiles over the years.

Glad there are a lot of Batmobile fans out there.

Dave

LOL! I know about the other Orange County way over on the other side of the country. I'm in the one that has a show about it (The OC on FOX). But when I look outside right now...it's hard to tell with this rain.

What I'd love to see is a Batchopper! Wings and all!!

I might just have to help you out on this one

Funny, because I see bits and pieces of "bat" on many cool choppers that have already been done. Who's the one Japanese guy who does those awesome hand made tanks, kinda medival knight looking?

Don, if you even come CLOSE to building that, I will promote the hell out of it on my site. :)

BAT CHOPPER

Thanx Dave and Justin!

I believe the BAT CHOPPER idea will be a groundbreaker!
The more input the better, Justin about that 'creative financing' post on the 66 board....what's your convert worth anyways?
Perhaps if we pool our resources and line up some sponsors 'chopper bat' can move faster off the drawing board to reality...choppers aren't cheap!

RE: Does anyone here own a studioscale 89 Batmobile or Batwing?

I think "Crime Cycle" sounds cool, or just "The Bat-Bike." Try to do it based on the 89 car, so from the front it has the turbine intake positioned infront of the wheel, this could be the headlight. The indicators could be where the lights are on the 89 car mounted on the lower forks. The rear saddlebags could be concealed under fake intakes and it could have the stoplights mounted on the rear of these under the tailfins. Ther afterburner could be a spinning interior-lit moulded flame element.

Nope not given this project any thought whatsoever... nada... don't have design pics or anything... nope nothing doing here. :P

RE: Does anyone here own a studioscale 89 Batmobile or Batwing?

Hey there Don! The Camaro is worth about 10 grand. It is a 30th anniversary edition Z28 with a high mileage LT1 (over 100k miles), anniversary interior package and chrome sport rims / wheels. Also has a kickin sound system in the trunk. ;) Posted it on Autotrader once, but all I got were tons or responses from car dealerships who wanted to "take it off my hands" for cheap. :-p
