Forever Batmobile
Seeing those batmobile images from movie world made me realize something.
How does the canopy in forever mobile open and close? Is it same like the Keaton mobile?
Kevin?
Dave?
Jack?

RE: Forever Batmobile
The Kilmer car that I saw at the Tallahassee car museum used square block linear bearings on the side and a roller bearing set for the center. Here are a couple of pictures. As far as I know DAVE is the only person who has spent any time with the actual cars. I will tell you that this set up worked much smoother and looked nicer.

RE: Forever Batmobile
The center roller looks very much like what is in the 1:18.

RE: Forever Batmobile
The pictures that are shown are not the same is the 89 Batmobile canopy rail system.

RE: Forever Batmobile
Jack didn't say they were the same. He explained how they worked, with pictures, and said the Forever car's set up worked much smoother than the Keaton car. But thanks for playing...

RE: Forever Batmobile
I'm going to Movie world again just after Easter. Does the list want me to take some pics of the cockpit and canopy of I can get close enough?

RE: Forever Batmobile
There were some resonable pics that I uploaded on Sunday night. They didn't make the post - I uploaded 23 and 8 have been linked to the post.

What'd you do with the steering wheel?

RE: Forever Batmobile
I ate it. Can you say souvenir? No not really just kidding. The steering wheel was just a very small custom-made wheel. It had to be removed just to get in the car. Yes it is that tight and no I’m not that fat. Here is a picture with the steering wheel installed.

RE: Forever Batmobile
Okay, now there are two things I really don't like about the Forever car, the fenders and the steering wheel...
