Batman Game

Wow, I haven't seen this in a while. I still have my Amiga 500 and this game. Maybe it's time to get it out of the garage... I remember that the graphics were so "awesome".

RE: Batman Game

That is awesome!

RE: Batman Game

I knew someone had to be out there. I'm having a slow workday today and this forum has been dead.... Thanks, V-man...

RE: Batman Game

Hey VMan I meant to ask you, what program did you use for the stationary wheel hubs diagrams? AutoCAD?

RE: Batman Game

Wow.
I didn't know anyone in US had an Amiga.

That game and machine was so much kick ass back then.

The graphic was awesome but the music kicked ass too.

I always wanted to upload a gameplay for everyone to see but just never got the time.

Hey Tim,
Did you ever use Deluxe Paint or Digital Paint on Amiga?

 From: Tim | Posted: 3/11/2005 3:47:06 PM |

RE: Batman Game

Oh yeah, I had Deluxe Paint. The one with King Tut on the cover. I remember it had that color cycling feature. Yeah, the music on those things were really good. It had it's own sound. I really should hook it up again. I have a boatload of software for it too. (maybe it ws more like a pirate ship )

"I always wanted to upload a gameplay for everyone to see"

What do you mean? How would you do that?

 From: Webmaster | Posted: 3/11/2005 4:03:55 PM |

RE: Batman Game

Yeah I remember drawing the batman posing next to the batmobile using Deluxe Paint 3.
I didn't have extra 512k memory so I could only do it in 8 colors(white, black, yellow for emblem and 5 different shades of gray).

And this game was like a crack back then
Even though I had finished it so many times, I had to play it once or twice every day just for the batmobile level. But I always ended up playing through the batwing and the cathederal level just so I could see the ending(Picture of Batman with the words in the background(The letter batman sends with BatSignal at the end of the first movie) and Michael keaton's digitized voice saying 'I want you to tell all your friends about me ).

Who'd have thought I'd be making the same batmobile site after 14 years.

WinUAE.
It's an Amiga Emulator for Windows.

I sold my Amiga 500 for that POS CDTV and emulator is the only way i can relive the memory.
The same screenshot was taken from the emulator

RE: Batman Game

Oh yeah, I remember that emulator. Does that run on XP?? I'm not familiar with CDTV.

I'm still not clear on how you would upload a gameplay for everyone to see. Would you just capture a video file or something?

 From: Webmaster | Posted: 3/11/2005 4:14:43 PM |

RE: Batman Game

It runs fine on XP.
Capturing the movie is what I couldn't figure out either.
Well, I thought it'd be too hard so I never bothered to research..

Anyway here's a great pic for the trip down the memory lane.

I love that! They sure don't make 'em like they used to.

RE: Batman Game

That was a great video capture. :) Fun to watch over and over again!

RE: Batman Game

you know what, I spent most of my time on the genesis batman game from sunsoft. I played the amiga version once or twice. The saddest Batman related day for me was the day I went to buy an original Outrun arcade machine from a local theme park.... they were smashing up a Batman arcade machine for spares.

They were also demolishing an original vector Star Wars sit-down cabinet from atari for scrap with a crowbar as I got out of my car, and generally destroying arade classics, all so they could build a new arcade in it's place with more dance machines. Seeing that Batman arcade sideart lying in a muddy pool of water out in the rain still chills me.

RE: Batman Game

Hey Tim,

Sorry for the late response... I bugged out of work early on Friday (Lumburgh was going to have me come in on Saturday).

Yeah, I used AutoCAD for the hub diagrams. It works great for knocking out quick 3D models. And the rotating hub concept was too complicated for 2D sketches.
