Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Hey, you would think that I would be the person to go to for something like this... (Well, ONE of the people to go to. Let's not get cocky here!) But I am posing this query to you all: I am looking for all the blueprints, 3D rendering, figures, etc. (RJ, what have you got for me??? :) I know I am retreading old material here, but I thought what the hell? We have been making great progress these past few days. Let's keep it rolling!

Has anyone invested any time in doing CAD drawings of the car? Something that a body could be sculpted out of? RJ, how are you doing yours? Care to share? Talk to you all soon!

Best 3D renderings you could get are the ones from Batmobile Factory.

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

I would LOVE to get my hands on that 3D model. I saw it on that Japanese site but my translation skills are a little lacking.

Anyone know who has it or what platform it was created on?

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

looks like it was made using lightwave, i use lightwave a lot when i want to point model.

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Yeah, it was done using lightwave 6.5. I talked with him for awhile when he was creating it because he based it off of the pdf blueprints that at the time were only on my site and I had one linked wrong which he needed. At the time I was thinking about messing with a racing game, and he was willing to let me use it, but I really didn't want to take his work. Anyway, that was over a year ago and I'm not sure what he's up to now. He sent me a few videos of the model too if anybody wants those(provided I can find them-that was a couple of harddrives ago). But if no one else can get in touch with him, I can try the email addresses that I have for him.

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Hey Tim - Earl Cooper e-mailed me some time ago and we spoke briefly about his models. He was out of country or something like that when we spoke. Of course, that was several months ago! If you get the videos from the guy on B Factory, let me know! I would love to see them. I am sure you can host them on your site, but if bandwidth is an issue, let me know.

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Earl Cooper
When one of Batman’s vehicles is on the fritz, the car is brought into Earl Cooper’s secret garage for repairs. Earl Cooper was saved by Batman when Earl’s former boss ordered a hit on him for wanting to forestall a release of a new line of cars their company was putting out due to faulty brakes. Earl is aided by his young daughter, Martha.

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Yeah, he mentions on his site that it's not his real name. Anyway, I'll swap harddrives tonight and find the videos, and I also ran across 89 models for midtown madness and GTA. I don't know what program you could use to open them, but you can have them if you want them. I don't remember where I found them.

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Dang, I should have thought of a cool alias. Especially with all of the Tim's on this board...

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Well, I found the pictures and video and couldn't manage to upload them because of the size, so I sent them to Justin. I can email them to anyone who wants them or if Justin wants to put a link to the zip file. Whatever. I also tried to email a bunch of 3d models of the batmobile, but the email was returned because it was too large. Anyway, I'm going to bed.

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Could you also send me those to banefool@hotmail.com

Thanks

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

I am on it now. I am trying to compress the FLASH movie. The ZIP will be available for download in about 5 minutes.

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Here you guys go. You can download the entire ZIP packet on this page: http://www.thebatcave8k.com/multimedia_extras.htm

I converted the animated video to a FLASH file, but I am trying to make it smaller so I can use it on the site. :-P

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Dude, you DO know that you need WinZip to unzip the file, right? ... No matter if you download it from my site or get it in the e-mail, you still need WinZip. I tested it just now, it downloads just fine. If anyone else has any problems with it, let me know.

GET WINZIP FOR FREE

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Judging by the weird trunk lid I'd say this car was based off of the 1/25th model.

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

So the download worked for you then, Tim?

 From: Tim | Posted: 3/10/2005 3:43:51 PM |

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Oh yeah, it works fine.

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

Tim W. sent me some more files too, I just need to upload them. They are the 3D models for various games. I haven't even opened them yet.

RE: Wireframe or 3D Batmobile renderings?

I have added 2 more file packets for download from the same page. Browse below the 3D model image for the links. They were all sent to me from Tim W.! Thanks Tim!
