RE: 1989 Bamobile concept
It made me laugh thinking about that concept batmobile in place of the good batmobile in the movie.

RE: 1989 Bamobile concept
No matter how you slice it we all have Bob Cane to thank for creating Batman. Here is how our hero Anton Furst thought the Batmobile should look.

RE: 1989 Bamobile concept
Bob Kane only came up with a red caped avenger as his hero, more akin to Robin than anyone else. Under direction from a fellow writer at DC named Bill Finger he he then retooled the concept to make him a more dark character. Kane then ripped the entire concept of "The Batman" from Roland West's 1926 film The Bat where a guy dresses as lifesize batman to instill fear into people (sound familiar). Furthermore he also illustrated his Joker design directly from a photo of an actor from a 1928 film called "The man who laughs" starring Conrad Veidt.
The actual design of the Batsuit and also the Batcave and many more detective elements of the character and story were the work of Bill Finger. Kane went behind Finger's back and arranged with DC to be given sole credit for all the work done on the character. Kane died with millions, Finger died penniless. Kane truly gave Bill the Finger.
Most people who know this early history credit Finger with as much creatorship of Batman as Kane. So to me it should read this on all DC books : Batman created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger.
