Lol. You are not allowed to chime in anymore, Tim. ;) I say the '89. Of course, you all knew I would.

Now who wins?

RE: On Your Mark, Get Set!

In my opinion the Kilmer car wins, here are my reasons:-

1. West Car position : FIFTH.

Once the dastardly plot behind the race has been figured by the Batcomputer, and Robin has uttered one of his "Holy" quotes... only then do we get West into race mode. His long slow drawl of full caper narrative and plotline events leading upto this point. Finally after all this, we actually get him into the car. By the time the whole starting checklist is complete, the other cars are already away from the startline. Also West could only compete in this race if it were in sunny Burbank (oops... Gotham) daylight. Batman preferred daylight in the sixties.

2. Clooney Car position : FOURTH.

While much faster away from the line than the West Car, this is an awful run for Clooney. As he remote starts the car, and the turbine kicks in, the car is surrounded by a bunch of people who thought it was an open air disco. A clean-up job for Gotham's Finest is a certainty, and West has got out of his car to do the Batusee. Also Robin is forced to put Clooney in HIS car after he catches him bidding on pieces of tail with the Batcreditcard.

3. Bale Car position : THIRD.

A great start off the line is just what Bale had hoped for and got. Sadly the car... urgh... hummer...errrr....tank...train wreck... whatever, is in trouble almost immediately as bale is heckled by the crowd that he is not in a Batmobile at all, but a Wayne Tumbler. Angered by this, and distracted, Bale pulls over and goes into Press Junket mode.... defending the car. In his distraction, he almost misses the people stealing parts of the car to sell on EBAY.

4. Keaton Car position ; SECOND.

Brute force and gothic styling give the Keaton car the lead off the line ... huh??.. oh well.. the scream from the powerful turbine and Kilmer's hesitation get him the desired distance to ensure victory in the race. But something is wrong, the car is heavy... too heavy. Keaton checks the car's exterior threat security status to see....

DAVE "Just one more picture... JUST ONE MORE." TIM "Can I JUST take this last measurement, I need to get the panel exactly right." JACK "Whatever he said" WWW.BATCAVE8K.COM "Finally... I have my hands on the real one...*mad Joker cackle*" KEVIN "The thrust to weight ratio bleed of the car, means the speed is not altogether affected by my weight, Mr. Keaton sir." KEATONCAR "If I get into the cockpit first, it's all mine y'all *holding on for dear life*" STARLIGHT "Just one more hand KeatonCar, and it's mine.. Muhahaha *prising KeatonCar's fingers from the cockpit seal*" BANEFUL "I just think it's a cool car." WEBMASTER "Damn Batmobile Website, I announce the venue of the race in the forum, and now I'm battling a bunch of Fanboys for the car instead of just Michael Keaton." So as not to injure anyone hanging onto the speeding car, Keaton eases off the power.. sadly costing him the race as Kilmer passes by for the win. Serves us all right!!!

5. Kilmer Car position : FIRST.

This should be an easy race for the sleek and deadly Forever Car, but Keaton leaves the line first. Whilst revving the engine, Kilmer catches sight of himself in the car's dash. Distracted by his ego-driven sexy gorgeousness, he is away second. In pursuit of the Keaton car his eyes see an odd shape.... "Is that a bunch of people hanging onto Mike's car..... oh well????" Now putting the pedal to the metal, the afterburner in full reheat, the Kilmer car burns past the now rapidly slowing 1989 Batmobile with victory now his. Sadly for Kilmer the ego is in full flight, he cannot resist opening the canopy and shouting to those hangers-on "I was in TOP GUN you know." As the canopy closes, it is to late for Kilmer to notice his head is still above the canopy. Winning the race, his head still trapped as the photos are taken.

Sometimes, it's not winning that counts, it's how good you look doing it.

RE: On Your Mark, Get Set!

Which is of course not the case. :) You guys just happen to agree a lot with each other! I, on the other hand, am your guys' yes man.

RE: On Your Mark, Get Set!

The reason I included you guys in my little comedy sketch was that we all are alike, and yet all have our own fields of knowledge. I did not want to include anyone who would take offense to it, and yet I wanted to include so many of us. If you did feel left out of the sketch... sorry... lack of room on the car.

In the end all I can say is thanks for the kind comments, I had a blast thinking the Kilmer stuff up, it is I who am unworthy of you guys.
