Exhaust Pipes

Where's is the real exhaust pipe?

The show model I saw long time ago seems to suggest that those 4 weren't really connected to anything?

RE: Exhaust Pipes

The two outer pipes are the real ones, the two inner tubes are o nly there to beef up the cars power image. If you look closely, you can see the silencer boxes on each of the real tubes.

RE: Exhaust Pipes

This is car 1 that was used in the first film. Other cars exhaust systems may be different depending on power. One of the replica cars built by Trix no longer has any working due to electric conversion. Sad part of that car is the beefy sound of the engine is provided by the soundtrack speakers of the show at six flags NJ. A secret driver compartment was placed where the afterburner fuel would be, so not even a spark from the rear..... Bummer. Also the two prongs now appear on this car as well as the one in the looney tunes movie, though they are different cars... must be a security thing.

RE: Exhaust Pipes

KeatonCar, very close but it is actually the inner two that are real. Here are a couple of pictures where you can see the exhaust soot. The top picture is one that or friend Dave sent and the lower 2 are of the Jay O replica in Tallahassee. Why is it like that well it was simple they come straight back from the engine's exhaust manifold.

RE: Exhaust Pipes

Jack, nice save buddy. I am man enough to admit when I am wrong, and feel better for it when we have someone who can not just say it ... but prove it. Once again...

JACK : The Man, The Myth, and dare I say it.. (dare, dare) The Legend!!!!!!!

RE: Exhaust Pipes

The carbon scoring on the inboard tail pipes are a dead give away. Now to find which aircraft ECS ducts they came from. Looks like some one took out the butterfly valves.

RE: Exhaust Pipes

I have given up on ever finding any of these pieces like the exhaust tips, side mechanics, inlet, headlights, etc. It's just not worth the hassle. Instead I am going to build The Tumbler.... Just kidding...... For now anyway.
