BATMAN VIDEO GAME

hi guys, first time long time.

i have been around this site for a long time now, i chime in when ever i can. any how i am have been going to many batman forums and trying to get WB'S attention on a batman game i think many of us on this forum would LOVE. how ever i have written emails to WB's entertainment group and EA (since they made the last video game). but i have yet to hear anything.
here are my creds: i am one of the first and now retired x-pro gamers and ofcourse a huge batman fan. since giving up the pro game life and getting married i find myself wanting to finally get into makeing games, mainly a batman game. i really don't want to give details but if for some reason a year comes and goes i will share with all batman fans my ideas. and believe me, everyone on here would love this game.
so in hopes of them looking at this thread i ask that they pm me and lets get rolling on what i think could be a great game for all batman fans and others wanting to try out a new game. i do have models and a presentation for my idea.
-alfred

p.s. and i would like to thank you all of you for taking your time and reading this, maybe one of you can get the ball rollin' also.

RE: BATMAN VIDEO GAME

There are a few Batman video game mods in the works.... There is the GTA Vice City mod:

But it has not been updated in forever.

Then there is this bit of work that was started awhile back:

There was also a mod for Need for Speed 3 where you could drive the Batmobile. It was the best car on the game (naturally).

Why didn't somebody tell me he had one of those...things!?

RE: BATMAN VIDEO GAME

I always wanted to re-create the batmobile level from Ocean's Batman the Movie game on Amiga. Once complete, I was going to put that on this site and attract more visitors. That was early last year when there were no forum and there were hardly any visitors on site except for maybe Tim.

I bought the Flash MX script book and everything I needed to make that game. But just like all things I promise, it never went anywhere..I think the book is still brand new and never been opened.

I thought I was the only one who hit the refresh button 40 million times a day. Yes that would be a super idea, I would never leave this site!

RE: BATMAN VIDEO GAME

I'd be interested in hearing about this idea. A long time ago I dabbled in game modification with the midtown madness 1 Batmobile. I once had a Batman game idea that was basically epic, following major elements of the comic mythology in an expansive and detailed Gotham City (pretty much GTAs level of freedom, with Max Payne 2's level of grittiness and detail). The Batmobile and other vehicles would be present in awesome driving levels (driving between/as part of missions or just cruising Gotham streets for crimes in progress)...but it would not simply be a driving game.

You can see some of my Batmobiles on my never-updated site: http://www.angelfire.com/comics/cooper

I also thought doing the same thing, but then I realized that I was straight and was tired of having sex by myself.

Earl, I was following your work on the mods on your site. You stopped working on the cars along time ago. I still have my Midtown Madness 1. I was looking forward to your car in Midtown Madness 2 as MM3 was non-mod Xbox. Maybe you could work on a Midtown Madness 1 or 2 Tumbler.

RE: BATMAN VIDEO GAME

I lost a lot of motivation once I found out MM3 wasn't being released for the PC. I HATE the way MM2 looks/plays so I decided not to release the Batmobile for it. I like MM1, but it is dated and very restrictive with the polygon limit.

But there is hope...there's an awesome new driving game being released for PC next year called Crashday and it's developer say that it will be really easy to add user made cars to the game. If everything goes according to plan, shortly after the SDK for this game is released, you can expect the 1989 Batmobile as a playable add-on car.

RE: BATMAN VIDEO GAME

Earl, any chance of doing the West car for MM1 for me. I have the Keaton version for it. I never gave up on MM1, I love it to this day.

Oh that reminds me... I was downloading a rom of Batman Returns for my Snes emulator when I came across the print ad for it, enjoy folks.

That's pretty sweet. I actually just ran across that exact same illustration of the car on some old book covers that I have from Returns. Did anyone else notice the double tires?
