Just wanted to introduce myself. I think it would be cool to have a Batmobile or an Ecto-1. At this point the Batmobile is a more realistic idea as the MM Ambulance for the Ecto-1 is super hard to come by.

RE: Introduce Yourself

Hey gang! I guess I have to start out at the lowly "noob" status.... errr, anyway, I'm a big BatFan from Arkansas... just over the river from Memphis (HAIL TO THE KING, BABY!) Anyway, I'm a video director at a local ad agency, and I've been a BatFan since I was a wee lil' tike. I'm a car nut... restored a 71 GTO in high school, and currently restoring another 71 GTO. I'd love to take on a batmobile replica in the near future. Aside from cars, my other "big" hobby is collecting film production material. Props, concept art, scripts, etc. I guess that's about it... see you guys and gals on the board! :)

RE: Introduce Yourself

I guess I should finally introduce myself. I've been lurking on the this board gathering TONS of information for my own project for quite some time.

My names Chris. I live in Portland Oregon and I run my own print/web development company. Been thinking about building a car for YEARS. Tried to gather info over that time and didn't really get anywhere (I'm sure you all know how hard information is to come by). Found this board from the Brotherhood of the Bat and love it!

Don't have a ton of experience working with cars but I know plenty of people who do and have been talking them up about this project for quite some time.

As soon as I can I get the addition to our house done I've got permission from the wife to go full boar on this , (thank you wife)
Anyway, just introducing myself!

DO YOU OWN A REPLICA BAT-VEHICLE? I'm thinking of building one??? How about a Tumbler?

A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF YOUR PAST OR PRESENT INVOLVEMENT IN THIS INDUSTRY (if willing to share): As a young adult, the first Batman movie inspired me mostly because of the 89' Batmobile which is a modern art master piece of a Gothic vehicle. Since then the Tumbler has me in awe.

OCCUPATION: Jet engine mecanic/ shop slave.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Sold my childhood car, a 70' GTO 455. Now I'm looking for a replacement...any sujestions?

DO YOU OWN A REPLICA BAT-VEHICLE? '66 Replica

A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF YOUR PAST OR PRESENT INVOLVEMENT IN THIS INDUSTRY (if willing to share):

OCCUPATION: Claim Rep'

YOUR LINKS OR ONLINE PHOTO ALBUMS: http://www.thebatcave8k.com/woodside.htm

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Love neat old cars. Own '71 Triple Black Lemans Sport Convertible (my first "Batmobile"), '74 Pontiac Grand Am and the '66 Replica which requires a helluva lot more patience & improvement than I had expected.
This is a great board with great detailed photos. I don't know many of you, but the few I do know I respect. There's only 1 I person in the bat community I have no respect for which I'll leave un-named here.
Slowly building a car I've coined the RetroBat. It'll take another good year or 2 to complete, but hope to share it with you all at some point.
I've never been a fan of the Movie Bats but the '89 is growing on me. I'll blame N8 for that.
I think the Tumbler is disgrace.

Pontiac builds excitement. Woodside tears 'em apart.
