Hey that sure looks familiar...Very Cool! Home Depot pink, huh... (I prefer the Lowe's blue)

Did you know that this foam will bend with heat? You have to take is slow and steady but you can get pretty good curves with a heat gun. I hung the gun up (or use one with a base) so I could use both hands on the foam. Also, I was using the Great Stuff expanding foam as an adhesive for the foam. Works great but it takes an hour to cure. I just found something new, it's a construction adhesive for foamboard. It comes in a tube like caulk. I haven't tried it yet. In either case coarse drywall screws work well to hold the foam until it's dry.

So what is it going to be? A large scale model? R/C? Go-cart?

I WAS TO LAZY TO PULL OUT THE HEAT GUN, AND THE GREAT STUFF WORKS GREAT,IT'S UNDERNEATH THE MOLDS HOLDING IT TOGETHER.

BUT THANKS FOR THE HEAT GUN KNOWLEDGE LOOKOUT.

I ALWAYS USE TITE-BOND CONSTRUCTION ADHESIVE,
NOW I ALSO USE LIQUID NAILS IN THE CAULK TUBES

So far the hood alone is 3 feet, without the canopy and the back.
I figure about 7-10 feet in length.
then I have to get serious about installing the electronics for the remote control feature and find wheels at the local lawn mower shop or toy r us, a whole lot of work ahead for this, and this is small scale, twice as hard for the big one .

That also reminds me I have to get my TIG up and running again, or I'll just use the MIG welder. I like the tig better for fine welding.
