89 shipping debate...

I remember people disagreeing about whether the original was shipped to the US. I ran across Diplomat Frieght'sawebsite, which has the following pic of the car and they state that they shipped the car from New York to Sydney, AU. Was this the first movie car or a returns car?

That may just be another promo car. But I think the other rumor is pretty much a dead horse.....

RE: 89 shipping debate...

Estel1 who told you that? I know a few people at movie world from many many visits with my kids and no one has ever said anything apart from it being a replica.

Having sat in the 89 at Movie World I can tell ya its not the real deal. It wouldn't be WB's form to allow a star car to be used in a daily parade and then to be retired to the back blocks of movie world as a street display.

Now its off display awaiting a refirb - do you all think that WB would allow some backyard mechanic here in Australia to work on a vehicle like this one??? I think not!

Cheers from down here.

Did you really "hear" that Estel? We don't need anyone here saying crap like that if it isn't true. If you did then tell us more, otherwise you're not contributing. Who told you that? How did you contact them? Tell us something to give yourself credibility.
