Nothing? How many members of this board? And how many actually leave post? And how many post pictures. Come on Club CLTC how about participating every once in a while. We need something to get us going...... Maybe a new contest, any ideas? I'll be home in a few hours try to come up with something by then. I'll do the same.

I am filling in all the low spots and irregularities on the car and there are plenty of them. When I am finished I will have a nice straight smooth car to work with.

Got to start cleaning up the rough edges and I still have to carve the fins. I added the flange all the way around and cut pieces for the wheel wells.

I wish it were in clay. The constant cycle of mudding, drying, sanding, mudding, drying, sanding gets old and takes too much time. I'm getting close now though.

Hell yeah you are! That is super cool. Clay would have been a great choice, too.

I just find the clay easier to work with and much faster. Here's another picture. You can see my clay oven in the background.

RE: Picture post

OK Jack,

Just PM'd you about sending pics tonight, but you shamed me into sitting in this chair for about 5 more minutes to upload.

Sorry for no long commentary, but here's the highlights.

Kilmer car where it was always meant to be.

Customer's Knight Rider car at the paint shop

TunerGirlz in "street" clothes at the Picture car coordinator's office in Staten Island, New York.

That's my news. Only other pic I got is a camera phone shot of my sister (ex-model, dancer and actress) trying to ride a musical pogo stick that he 4 year old son got for Easter.

Happy Easter All,

Now these are some dang good pictures. Kevin you making me start to beieve you may actually make your deadline. Great work.

Tim, wow that looks great. I can't wait to see what's next.

Batgod, always good to hear from you and the pictures rock. It would have been cool if you could have mounted the Forver car like it was climbing the wall. Like it did in the movie. Looks awesome. Oh I sort of like the Plain Jane Tunergirlz. Must be the Southern boy in me.

Is that Hollywood Star Cars the one in Gatlinburg, TN?
Looks familiar.

RE: Picture post

How'd a guy like you get to California with all that flippin'?
Maybe it was your Dad who split you and headed to the midwest? LOL
The '66 replica there in Gatlinburg was pretty plane jane as I recall, but people line up and pay to see it (including me a couple of times before I got mine).

Kevin, NICE job on the car! Looks really good! Do you have more build up pics?

Tim, Good ideal with the clay. I have good luck with clay in the past but nothing as big as the your project.

To say the least...

Not to mention all of the "guests" who figured it was their right to take home a piece of the car as a souvenier.

But don't expect it to stay that way for very much longer...

Guiness' lease is up soon and it will be heading up the block to its new home.

But not before it makes a little detour.

Did you think I was making all those extra Batphones just for Justin? hehehehe

RE: Picture post

Chris - I am Californian born and raised! My old man went out west for some God aweful reason... He liked country folk I guess!!! (No offense to you country folk..... TIM)

The '66 replica in Guiness was the first replica I ever saw. It was amazing - actually what sparked my interest in owning one some day! I was 15, and somewhere I have a picture of myself sitting in it (my dad worked for Guiness back in the day, along with Regina who had this really hot daughter.... Paul you know who I'm talking about). Its funny because I've got a hawaii-style shirt on, hemp necklace and surfer hair down to my shoulders at the time. Typical Californian... I was the only idiot walking around in winter in Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge with shorts and sandals. Hey, nobody told ME they had WINTER out there!!!! What the hell is snow?? I'm from Southern California for heaven's sake - I need to be WARNED about these things! Regardless, I need to dig up that picture. It is awesome. And at the time, I truly believed that to be the ORIGINAL Batmobile. I remember sitting in it thinking I was in the actual seat sat in by Adam West or Burt Ward....

There was a time when i would have looked at that car and believed it was the original because of the crappy/dirty condition it was in. "Look how old and used it is!" It's from the sixties after all... like me.

Me too!

I was like 6 and couldn't figure out why it took us so long to fly there. Always thought a boat would have been faster.

That's too funny.
