RE: More pics of the Batmobile from Sweden Nitro, yes cup holders are esentral, where elase will you put the bat drinks, in mine a thin object will rise out and flip own in shape of a bat which will have spots to put drinks. even if it doest have a central support the canopy can still slide open, just reqires mroe support on teh side tracks, ive thought about doing it on mine but im still nto sure, it would make things easyer when it comes to maintance. |

RE: More pics of the Batmobile from Sweden SG1 the cup holders sound cool. I also think if you can get away from cutting your hood and making your canopy work that is the way to go.This is my opinion and not something i hear any one else say but I would sure give it a try .

RE: More pics of the Batmobile from Sweden...my 2 cents One thing about the 89 Batmobile is it's lines and style can't really be traced to any specific heritage....ie as in 'it looks 'American' or it looks 'British' or of European heritage where as the other bats like the '66 obviously looks American. The 89 simply fits anywhere....in any country!

RE: More pics of the Batmobile from Sweden Translation.........that car has got to be about the best 89 I've ever seen hand sculpted or not! Nitro....ya the 89's cool but I like the 66 just as much, all things being equal I don't have a favorite...yet...maybe the answer's in the eye of the tiger!

RE: More pics of the Batmobile from Sweden DH and I discussed this car last night. I spoke with the owner several ago and he sent me pictures of the mock up. I would have to say from what I have seen of the car it is hand built. Judging from the photographs he used the AMT model for comparison, everything that is on the model is on his car. From the trunk lid to the canopy everything is mocked up just as the model. He most likely used a cad machine to map out all the features of the car. As far as a hand built car, this is the best seen to date. I noticed that the gas caps are different; I think that his are more astatically pleasing than the originals. RE: More pics of the Batmobile from Sweden I'm partial to the Cobra gas caps myself....like the car they're round, fat, muscular and obnoxiously huge. His 'sweeping curve' over rear wheel quarters is perfect...defines that area and gives it a muscled look too. |
